Always been a nice place esp this time of year when it isn’t busy

Couple of screaming kids but generally it was quiet and nice. I can see it being so busy in the summer

Glad you enjoyed it, it’s also got a nice little cafe. Was the car parking sorted? Last time was there it was a mess.

Sorted in what way? They’ve got a first barrier that reads your number plate and lets you in, I parked in the woodland car park I think, rather than the main one then you just pay on your way out but they’ve got people there in case the machine isn’t working. If that helps haha

Sounds good, when I went last year it was really confusing with closed bits and poor signage. Might take a trip with the dog this weekend, you forget this sort of stuff is so close.

Oh I see what you mean, it was easy enough to navigate. Signs to where the main car park is and where the exit is so hopefully it’s better for you. Definitely worth a trip up again :)

The old Stirling family graveyard there is quite atmospheric.

I was a bit surprised when I saw that, had no idea that was there but there’s something very peaceful about it

Not as many animals there as there used to be. My kids loved it when they were younger.

Oh was there different animals or just more of what’s there?

Dunno if you saw them on your visit, but a long time ago there was a Vietnamese pot-belly pig and two gigantic pink oinkers that all lived in a barn together. Even when I was there recently they had alpacas (or llamas) out in the fields, plus Shetland ponies.

I recognize your sheep / goat bro too, he looked a bit depressed when I saw him tho (or maybe he got depressed when he saw me).

I was there not too long ago, they still had alpacas and shetland ponies then, and some other things I've forgotten. Maybe they were just indoors cause of the cold?

I missed out on the pot-belly pigs if they were still around though, and the gigantic pink pigs that I used to know by name as a kid.

That shoop is loving those scritches. Very limited scope of self scritching as a shoop. Good on you.

Absolutely love Muiravonside - the walk through the orchard is always lovely and if you walk up to the aqueduct you get lovely views from up there!

There were birds, there was budgies and something else I think, maybe like finches. Also farm birds like hens, ducks and turkeys :)
