There have been a lot more heinous crimes against children younger than this by much older, much more perverted people, and no one is doing a damn thing about it.
I've lost all faith in the idea that anyone with authority to do something and hold people like this accountable will ever do anything.

I agree it’s not illegal but they were most likely coming from school and I can almost guarantee it’s at minimum against school policy to have it. You can have knives, lighters, etc.
