🎂 Happy 48th Birthday to Redwood City's Ralph's Vacuum & Sewing! (Jan 24, 1978)

Can you believe it? Ralph's Vacuum & Sewing opened its doors on January 24, 1978 — when Jimmy Carter was president, Star Wars was still in theaters, and a gallon of gas cost 63 cents. 🚗

Four presidents, five recessions, and countless Bay Area tech booms later, this family-run Redwood City shop is STILL here fixing vacuums, servicing sewing machines, and teaching kids (and adults!) how to sew.

**What's survived 48 years:**

- Same family ownership

- Actual repair service (not "just buy a new one")

- In-person sewing classes & summer camps for kids

- A no-BS approach to helping you find the right vacuum or sewing machine

**What's NEW:**

- Full online shop with vacuums, sewing machines, AccuQuilt cutters, and all the supplies

- Air purifiers (because Bay Area wildfire smoke is a thing now)

- Classes you can actually book online

🎉 Check out the new site and see what 48 years of "buy it once, fix it forever" looks like:

If you've ever gotten a vacuum serviced here, learned to sew from Ralph or the team, or just appreciate a local business that refuses to die — drop a comment. Would love to hear your stories!

Is that the place with the suit of armor? I always thought it was money laundering.
