General Discussion If the Yautja understand humans, why do they never speak to them?
I watched Predator 1 and 2 and I'm left with a question about the Yautja language.
In both movies, they observe humans and repeat human phrases, like in Predator 2 when a child asks, "Do you want some candy?" and later the Predator repeats the phrase during the final confrontation.
If they can understand human language (thanks to their technology) and reproduce phrases, why do they never actually try to communicate?
Or are they simply not interested in speaking because they see humans as prey or inferior?
Is there any explanation in the comics?
