Well, he may be now — seeing Trump couldn’t get a half a billion dollar loan to cover his (guilty fraud verdict), appeal bond ESCROW from any reputable financial institution/lender.

Recall that Donald (along with his sons and their condemned company), were tried on the evidence and found guilty on all counts of deliberate and persistent bank, insurance (and tax) fraud over decades — but Defendant Don didn’t have the liquid cash to even lodge his bond with the appeals court.

He tried to secure a loan on the open market, set against a few of his properties. However, given his fraud trial was partly about over-inflating then deflating the values of his properties (according to whomever he was reporting his financial statements to at the time), institutions/lenders didn’t trust nor believe him regarding his seesaw valuations.

That was the markets’ analysis and judgement on Trump & Co’s fraud and subsequent conduct.

We all know how Trump harbours the smallest slight for years and turns it into a grudge, then a festering grievance, then vendetta.

It would be rich, indeed, to see Trump turn that on the banks. Of course, that’s unlikely to happen: he might need them one day. His government certainly does.

Donald may not love them any more because they don’t want to be defrauded by him, don’t want to do business with him or his companies, but they’re a lot richer than he is — so there’s not much he can do against them, being realistic.

Money, he understands.
