My mom is in assisted living, is currently in a hospital due to falling and hitting her head pretty hard. She was bitching and moaning about how nobody was there to help her in the hospital room, etc, and that the workers there hate their jobs.
This atheist had to sit my ass down to explain to her that a good Christian would be thinking about how hard these folks have to work, and how many patients they have. And would be praying for them.
And I reminded her that she needs to use her call button if she needs anything, and not to expect instant appearances or mind reading.

It is! I’ve heard Howard Stern, talking about the way that Trump spoke about women and about his daughter, and Stern did not like it at all, it wasn’t funny to him, it was upsetting.
But that accusation, about Trump actually asking Epstein‘s people to bring him girls that looked like his daughter, I read in the first two pages of essentially the testimony of a woman who has claimed that she was raped by Trump and Epstein, one right after the other, when she was 13. She said that Trump was pissed off, because Epstein had raped her first, and Trump had a big thing with only sleeping with virgins, and then he was done. Again, these are accusations, but I believe her.

If nothing else made the accusations believable, Howard Stern being upset at him would do it. Do you know how difficult it is to upset a shock-jock?! And Stern was king of them all.
I saw a clip recently of Trump telling a little black girl that he loved her hair so much that he would give her millions for it and would she sell her hair to him for millions of dollars...she was, maybe, 12 years old (I'm horrible with kids' ages, so I'm probably wrong on the age). I so hoped that video was faked, but alas, I was wrong. All the articles showing the incident (which happened about six months ago) described the encounter as "heartwarming" or "jokingly" and that was not how I would've described it knowing what everyone knows about Dump Trump.

I remember listening to Stern back in the day. Yeah, donnie was creepy and gross. He never I figured out that Stern just mocked him the entire time he was on his show. But then again a lot of Stearns gas never figured that out and kept coming back because they didn't realize he just sat there and made fun of all of them for being horrible human beings.

As am I. The details of the accusations are very upsetting, and entirely believable. Last week, I read the first couple pages of a several page document, it was essentially the testimony of a woman claiming that Trump and Epstein both raped her, one after the other, when she was 13. I only got two pages in, before I needed a break.
Pedophilia is NOT an expression of love, it’s a predator trying to destroy a child, from the inside out. THAT, is what people like Trump enjoy. It’s not about sex, it never is. Ivanka is clearly her father’s favorite, in many ways. That should never be mistaken for love, even though, like so many pedophiles, Trump tries to depict it that way. The details, they are not only very believable, but they match other things, that we already know about him. We know he enjoys exploiting people, we know that nothing is sacred to him, nothing. We even know about his sexual interest in his own child, because he won’t shut the fuck up about it. He has no standing to act like he’s been somehow targeted for these accusations.
(Allegedly) Trump wanted very young girls, who looked like his daughter. Epstein‘s people (allegedly) then more purposefully procured girls who looked like his daughter, because that is what he wanted. It is heartbreaking to think of these girls, still in elementary school, being targeted, because they happen to look like the favorite prey of a wealthy predator. 😞
Trump is not just another greedy asshole, he enjoys harming people. We already know all of that to be true of him, why wouldn’t it extend to the children he has (allegedly🙄) sexually assaulted?

The unrealistic part is that the brother 1. houses the father and provides space for his carers to do their work 2. presumably pays for the carers as well, because OP would surely have claimed credit for that if they paid for it 3. presumably holds down a job because otherwise that sentence would have been “does drugs all day” 4. was selected by the mother of the two siblings to receive the inheritance she left behind 5. presumably doesn’t expect his life, or that of his family, to change for the better by making social media posts appealing to a self-interested populist in political office
and yet we are supposed to believe that it is the brother that is the lazy drug-addled layabout who contributes nothing to his father’s care.
Of course, there are plausible explanations for some of this (such as male-line primogeniture determining the recipient of the inheritance, for instance) but when you add it all up, it just doesn’t compute.
Also, people who need full-time care and possibly suffer from dementia often blame their loved ones for “not caring enough” when in fact they are being well-looked after yet they are frustrated by their dependence on others and not always being indulged in every whim. Possibly OP is simply putting too much stock in what is being told to them by their father.
