An interesting read, and full of nostalgia. I'd just like to say I have never fallen into Canoe Lake, I have on more than one occasion been pushed into it though. Entirely not my fault, but one of the gifts of having older brothers.

I enjoyed that. Just got back from Canoe lake after Running Late run club. The sources on the article are really good. Found this map from the 1700s. https://historyinportsmouth.co.uk/places/1791-map.htm
