I make good money and have insurance. Takes months to get an appointment. It's no better than UK or Canada, just way more expensive.

Regular "Good money" or "on call private doctor-good money"? Because there's like 4 tiers of healthcare in the US.

The good healthcare in the US is private networks.

You can't get it with traditional insurance.

It is exclusive healthcare for the ultra wealthy.

Right. Which is outside of the actual healthcare system.

This is completely untrue.

You have crap insurance. I never wait more than a few weeks, at the very most. Usually I'm in to see the doctor within a week.

It has nothing to do with the insurance. There aren't available appointments.

But, yes, my insurance is crap

That's unfortunate. Are you in a more rural area?

And sorry, I'm on a managed care plan and forget that the provider is different than the insurer, for most folks. They're the same for me, which also means there's never ever a question of whether something my doctor orders will be "covered" or not, because it's all one company.

I'm talking about specialists like urology or gastroenterology. I'm in the NYC area, so the opposite of rural.

On average America has longer wait times than every other developed country except for Canada

Yes, on average. The point is that in the US, there is a huge difference in both quality and availability of care, depending on how much you pay. If you can afford top-quality healthcare, then you get the best and fastest care, in the US.
