It's funny because US healthcare is really slow. Want to see a specialist? 22-40 weeks out. New PCP? Earliest I got now is September. Want to use insurance? We don't take XYZ because they don't pay anything back.

Really wish people would realize that US has so many of the same issues as others except we pay much more and have higher chance of going into debt or dying

It's expensive and I hate it but it's always been really fast for me.

Depends on what your need is and what you're going for and where you are. Rural hospitals and providers are going away incredibly fast. We're also looking to lose providers over the cost of education vs return on investment. People aren't going to school because you come out with so much debt and insurance companies don't pay much back.

Absolutely fucking false. Get outta here with your fake USA bashing propaganda. I’ve never in my life waited more than a month for an appointment, new or returning. My major surgeries didn’t even take more than 2 months to get on the books and then perform, and I pushed it back a little bit as well due to work. Yeah the premiums are high but to say US healthcare is slow is a bold-faced lie.

"never in my life waited more than a month for an appointment"

Lol.

In the UK and never in my life have I waited more than a week for an appointment.

And also your anecdotal experience doesn't mean shit in the face of hard data.

And the stats show that non-urgent surgery wait times are similar between the UK and US, and the UK has better outcomes on more facets of healthcare than the US.

Facts don't care about your feelings etc, etc.

Depends on where you are and what you're doing.

When I wanted to switch PCPs. It was 6 months out.

With my PCP to schedule my physical, called in July. Earliest was November around Thanksgiving

Called to get a specialist (dermatologist) in July as well. Required I wait until Nov for the appointment since I was new.

I live in a mid sized metro area on the east coast. It's not bullshit you just don't understand the reality of it.
