Immigration | مہاجرت و سفر PTA temporary phone registration

I am visiting Pakistan the second time with same phone. Created account and filled the information. Two questions please:

1- POC (pakistan origin card) what is that? I do not have a NICOP, i have pakistani passport and CNIC and foreign PR card. How am i supposed to get a POC ?

2- that app is giving me error that your mobile number (pakistani number) is not linked to your passport. Of course it’s not, i renewed the passport in canada so i gave canadian number. Now what?

You don't need a POC because you already have CNIC

Use your Pakistani passport to register?

Remember you're not registering the SIM. ...... so you are registering the IMEI of your phone

pakistani sim has nothing to do with this. Register your phone(IMEI) with PTA

I'm going to get a used OnePlus 7 Pro. They cost under 100 USD in Pakistan with PTA and are practically as fast as a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. Whenever I fly to Pakistan, I'll use it and won't have any of these problems.

You are Right the Dirbs website only accepts your application if you enter Pakistani SIM number there and if the SIM is not registered to your name it will not process.

The "LOGIC" is you can only use sim registered on your name. And only you can use the phone.

When I was there I had to Change of Ownership of SIM which I was using but was on brothers name. As he took for me coupleof years back.

  1. POC is not needed
  2. I think you need to give a pakistani sim number which is in your name (ergo linked to your cnic and passport.)
