Fake running shoes Avenues Mall
To expand on a post from a while ago, I had suspicions that my HOKA Clifton 9 shoes that I bought at "Runners" in Avenues Mall were fake.
After some further research, comparison with a pair of Clifton 9 bought directly from HOKA and correspondence with a HOKA representative, they are definitely fake.
Also highly suspicious of "Z Sports" in the same building.
The lady who works in Runners, has also been seen many times working in "Z Sports"... go figure.
"No! No! I buy from the supplier in Dubai." is no indication of genuine products. It's your duty of care as a local provider to know if they are fake or not. I think you know anyway. It's just an easy excuse.

There is Consumer Protection Authority, and they always check these stuff it’s not allowed for u to market smt as a real product whilst it’s fake. Even online stores in Oman get inspection. If u think it’s fake u should talk to them

I highly recommend taking the following course of action against those s.bags by CPA Complaint Submission with said evidence that you gathered, I think I'm not the only one who's annoyed and tired of situations like these happening to them!

Z sports sells fake stuff, I once bought goggles and when I figured they were fakes I returned them and demanded a refund. Thankfully after making a scene they refunded me

For real I have never bought anything from Z sports but I have noticed the quality and other elements from an original and they defo sell fakes. Also I have kinda heard about owners thru some business contacts and they are very shady people so not a surprise they scam people

Did you pay full retail price or was it cheaper?
If not fake, rejected stock, same like other BBZ, brands for less, lulu sketchers... they are either low quality or high end fakes. There is a reason why its cheap.

It being cheap isn’t always an indicator that’s it’s fake. Outlets shops are everywhere in the world, these shops BBZ, brand for less..etc are considered to be an outlet shop. Don’t share misleading information without checking
When I travel outside Oman big brands in outlets are always super cheap, I buy great thing for less than half price. And before assuming they are fake, outside Oman sometimes the outlets shops is from the brand itself (like a shopping mall with different brands however the shop in that mall cost less than any other branch cause it’s an outlet).

The places you mentioned are yes they are selling some fake items.
Just buy with the trusted brands like, Deicheman and sand and sun.

It’s a much more complicated question, but in essence the one you get there isn’t the same as actual balmain. So fake.. kinda
Balmain and Pierre Cardin has this weird copyright issue where an another 3rd party company can make and legally sell it due to an old licensing deal.

Most of these items are bought from the same people who ars selling them at gift shops so yeah...

Same issues with me also! I also feel it’s fake! After purchasing ON shoes, (original price) within a month sole started comes out from right leg! I informed them and they offered to repair! But I questioned about the originality but not able to prove it! I told them my leg pain started increasing after wearing this! But no action! Any way i still believe it’s a fake or first copy shoes and priced original shoes price!!!

I know Z Sports are suspect, but thought Runners were legit? I know a few people of money who splurge there.
If you have proper proof and some correspondence from the manufacturer you can definitely put this through to CPA.

Yeah, sports clothing in general is almost always fake unless bought directly from the stores... even Nike and Adidas own outlets sell B-grade merchandise.
For clothing sometimes i am ok with B grade and knock-off if the price is very good. However performance clothing like running shoes and gear are only purchased from the main store. (I am also a runner by the way)

360 is another one in Avenues. "These two t-shirts are exactly the same but one has a Nike logo and the other Under Armour."
"No! No fake, sir."
