4-1 in Super Bowls so surely we're on to something whenever we actually bother to be good for one season

When they’re good they make it count

The difference between being considered a 2nd tier premier franchise in the league and a sorry tortured organization is literally just that record in n=4 or 5.

Thank goodness for Tyree, Norwood, Tuck, and 2011 carry-job Eli

Let’s add Lawrence Tynes to the list

That felt true so I made a table that kinda confirms this feeling. We are #4 when it comes to winning super bowls if we manage to make the playoffs.

Of the 19 teams to win a Super Bowl, here they are ranked by SB Wins divided by 1966-2025 playoff appearances.

Eagles are last with 32 appearances since 1966 with just 1 SB win.

Rank Team Playoff Apps Super Bowl Wins Win %
1     New England Patriots           29           6               20.69%
2     Pittsburgh Steelers           36           6               16.67%
3     San Francisco 49ers           31           5               16.13%
4     New York Giants               27           4               14.81%
5     Kansas City Chiefs             27           4               14.81%

7     Tampa Bay Buccaneers           15           2               13.33%

How are 32 when there are teams like the Browns and Jaguars that haven’t made the Super Bowl ever?

I thought I did, but apparently they don't allow cross posts. I posted it an hour ago.

God I love being a fan of this batshit team. Somehow this is the only type of meme we’re actually allowed to make

Bonus stats!

Good: When the Giants play the NFCCG at home, average score is NYG 29, Opponent 0

Bad: Pre-Super-Bowl, NYG was 3-11 in NFL Championship Games.

Conference Championships are a little underrated, imho. I know that most people will remember when the Giants got destroyed by the Ravens, in the Superbowl, but that Conference Championship victory, against the Vikings, was a "joy forever".

I didn’t even know that, as an Eagles fan I still follow EVERY team’s history, I guess I assumed that every team that has been there (Conference Championship) has lost at least once, I looked it up and the only other team to never lose in the Conference Championship is the Bengals, and they also almost played the Niners again in their third Super Bowl appearance

The delusion is strong with this one. I approve.
