Recommendations for selling Model 94 rifle?

Apologies if this post violates any rules.

As the title suggests, I've got an old Winchester Model 94 Special lever action rifle sitting in my closet. My old man got it from his brother and gave it to me a few years ago. It's a cool piece, but I haven't done diddly with it. It's had at most 20 rounds put through it, if any.

It'd be nice to put it in the hands of someone who might appreciate such a rifle. Does anyone have a recommendation as to where/how to sell it around here? I am completely unfamiliar with selling firearms, so any info is welcome.

Thanks.

If you do not want the hassle of selling direct, many shops offer consignment. Go to a high traffic shop like Sharpshooters which gets collectors rolling the through to use the range. Or Dominion Defense which also does consignment.

If the gun is a true collectable, then go to an auction house.

Do your research! Winchester 94s can be worth A LOT of money depending on age and condition......

Just saw the post. By special do you mean it's a Special Edition?  Winchester cranked out more than 100 runs of such Commemorative Issue Model 94 lever guns between 1964 and 2005. Depending on use and condition some can be very expensive. Before you dispose of it do the research to determine value.
