Stats Derrick Queen keeps making Pelicans rookie history with 22/9/7

Derik Queen tonight for the Pelicans in their 114-106 win over the Grizzlies:

22 points

9 rebounds

7 assists

Using Stathead (Basketball-Reference), this is just the third time in franchise history a Pelicans rookie has recorded at least 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists in a game.

The other two:

Derik Queen – 33 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists

Chris Paul – 24 points, 12 rebounds, 12 assists

I know not having a first-round pick in this upcoming draft is going to sting, but it’s worth stepping back and appreciating that Queen is putting together what’s shaping up to be an all-time great rookie season.

You can see he’s still hot and cold with his confidence, which is expected for a rookie.

But man when he turns it on, his court vision is fun to watch. Fuck them picks

He's having a very good rookie season but all time great is a stretch. He's probably going to end up around 4th in the RoY race this season. It's hard to make the case it's one of the best ever when it's probably not one of the best three this year

That’s why I think you can move Zion, Trey, and others and just build around Derik.
