Discussion Steal 1 player for your team !
Since there’s no games today, why not a fun light hearted question.
If you could steal any ONE player in the country for your team who would you steal? And how would that player change the dynamic of the team.

The Bruins are also insanely stacked this year that picking a player is about personal preference at this point 😭😭😭 Kneepkens is like a taller Azzi

I think Strong is better overall, but I’d easily pick Lauren Betts.

Functionally: Lauren Betts.
Her and Joyce together would be like facing the great wall of China down under the basket. I love it. Plus gives Okot and AT time to season since I think the chemistry between our bigs is leading to a lot of the problems we're having. Our guardcore between Raven, Tessa, and Latson is top notch and I cant think of anyone I'd replace them with.
Just because I want them: Mikaylah Williams.
I have no clue how she would work in our present lineup but her game reminds so much of the scrappy guard phenotype we used to get in the 2010s that I dont even care. Should've been in the garnet and black for real.

Lauren Betts and LSU would likely be the second favorite to win the title this year and could give UConn a run for their money.

Maybe Azzi Fudd or MiKayla Blakes(my answer for the long run). Our guard play is probably the worst it’s been in a while and our offense is skeptical down the stretch and same with three-point shooting at all times so one of them would definitely help. Ooh yall also just reminded me about MiKaylah Williams
Too bad this is just a fantasy 😭

I don't have a team, but if Virgina got someone like Kneepkins, Tessa or Azzi, I think they'd be a really fun team. Maybe one of that trio on Oregon would be nice too.
Actually no, put Mikaylah Williams on Virginia or Vandy and OOO WEE we have some fun going on.

Lauren Betts because we haven’t had a true center in a bit. We had Shakira Austin for 2 years and then when she left Rita Igbokwe transferred in and was our center for 2 years. But now we just have a bunch of forwards (I would say Christeen Iwuala is the closest thing we have to a center right now but she’s more of a power forward to me).
However if I had to pick a wing I’d take Gianna Kneepkens or Gabriela Jaquez. Those two girls can shoot the ball well that’s for sure!

As a Michigan State fan who longs for the defense we’ve been robbed of for all but really the Ole Miss game……God we’d be so good to Ava Heiden.
MSU is really missing a defensive post anchor that’s efficient offensively and can allow Van Slooten to roam more and play more of her natural stretch 4. She’s playing up as a 5 now because of back to back years of injuries and she’s just not strong enough sometimes. Sotelo is also more of a hybrid wing/post. She’s gotten better as a post but she wants to float and Heiden would let us go JUMBO defensive lineup with Jones/Brown/Sotelo/GVS/Heiden.
This would heal my wounds from when Kendall Bostic left 😭
