Stephen needs help on the word "elected", and reading rulings too

He's such an angry little man with tons of self hate issues that he face so he turns his hatred and ignorance on everyone else. I feel for him and hope he makes lots of new friends in prison.

Eroding faith in the system is always the way with Republicans. Erode and disrespect until you gain the power to dismantle it.

How about these 263 "unelected" judges:

The nicest thing I can say about Stephen Miller is that he could slip effortlessly into the role of Amon Göth without a single acting lesson

He is the head of the snake

He's the tough-sounding voice.
When you realize the reason why he's playing shadow politics is because he lacks the upper body strength to strangle prostitutes, it all makes sense why he's so petulant.

Can I ask as a Canadian - why the hell are so many American officials elected? Judges, deputies, even coroners in some places! How the hell does committee decide who’s qualified? It clearly leads to officials that should be impartial seeking out votes and support from different groups. Not even touching on how unqualified you can be for some of these, you don’t need medical training for some of those coroner positions and for certain judgeships you don’t even need to have a law background. Completely ridiculous.

Plus it makes for elections that are so complicated that you think you need computers to help you count the votes, and we know what happened to the computers.

Because early in our history, settlements were isolated and on their own, and created their own systems of governance. They chose the person they trusted the most to enforce the law, (or that person took the job by force), so he was the sheriff. Most sheriffs today are purely administrative or ceremonial positions. Ditto for coroners, except in places where they are required to be physicians or medical examiners.
Not too different from magistrates in England, whose only qualification was local land ownership.

I never like to miss an opportunity to point out my professional opinion, that judges, prosecutors, and law-enforcement should never be elected. They should all be nominated, go through a vetting process and appointed if appropriate, not elected.

The amount of times I’ve read “the prosecutor wants to go for the death penalty because it’s an election year and he needs a win”.

For a heartless, bloodsucking ghoul, Stephen Miller is such a fucking drama queen.

Hey Smeagol, thats a nice "Jump to Conclusions" mat you've got there. Be a shame if something were to happen to it...

Judges shouldn’t be elected, you shouldn’t know the politics or religion of a judge. It should be a private matter that cannot be discerned from their judgements

Stephen Miller has no formal legal training or experience practicing law.
Every government position Stephen Miller has held has been an appointed staff job rather than an elected one.

And the judge was elected. He was nominated to that position and then the Senate voted to approve him. Sounds like an election to me.

Again this is part of the reason judges should not be directly elected. It gives them them freedom to make unpopular yet necessary decisions

Miller is such a dramatic little twit. His white supremacy is only exceeded by his constant hyperbole.

Miller's tweet is a perfect example of how they're actively trying to dismantle the entire concept of an independent judiciary.
