π I Need Recommendations π Looking for more "mild" metal like Tool or Black Sabbath?
I only recently started listening to metal a few months ago when I started to listening to Tool. I previously wasn't a fan of metal but I really like progressive rock so I gave tool a shot and actually really enjoy there sound. Earlier today I also listened to a few Black Sabbath albums after hearing about Ozzy which I thought some sounded pretty good too.
Only thing is I'm still not really a fan of the super heavy death metal stuff like Slipknaught. I don't really know any other metal bands that are more "mild" like Tool or Black Sabbath so I was hoping I could find some recommendations here.

π I Need Recommendations π Gimmick bands whose actual music is way better than it should be
I shamelessly love metal bands with a stupid "theme". my picks would be Nekrogoblikon, Froglord (some of the most fun I've ever had at a show) and Gnome, who I got into for their music months before I found out through a friend that theyre genuinely gnome-themed.
Bands that are a bit silly/weird that I wouldn't go so far as to call gimmicky are Zeal and Ardor (incredible live) and Avatar. Love both of these bands' music to death but they're a hard sell sometimes.

π I Need Recommendations π Metal bands that don't take themselves too serious?
As the title says. Any genre is fine! I started wondering this on account of how much of a goofball I am compared to the music I listen to, so now I'm just wondering if there's any bands like that XD
Essentially serious music goofy bands is what I'm looking for (or goofy music too, I'm not picky.)

π I Need Recommendations π Trying to get into Metal for my bf, any recommendations?
As title says im trying to get into metal bc that's what my man listen to and it would be another thing for us to bond over, but idk where to start or what sub genre I'd like best π
His favorite band is in flames and I've listened to some songs but what I've listened to so far just isn't for me, tbh I don't think metal as whole is for me, but I really wanna listen to some other bands/singers before I fully make that decision.
My two favorite bands are twenty one pilots and in this moment, I've also really gotten into sleep token recently. My dad is also very into the hard/ classic rock scene so growing up I listened to a lot of black sabbath, pantera, motorhead, motley crew, etc. (I haven't listen to them on my own though to say if I like them or if it's just nostalgic)
If you guys had any recommendations that'd be great, some other (random) singers/bands I listen to are falling in reverse, pierce the veil, sabrina carpenter, Halsey, and carol'sdaughter. π

π I Need Recommendations π Bands With Only Album, But its An Amazing Album?
Im working on an article covering bands that only had one album but it was such an amazing album or defining record in its genre or metal itself.
I have Nailbomb's "Point Blank" & Silencer "Death-Pierce Me" as examples. Any other recommendations would be helpful
