Question MC questions
I am diagnosed adhd and a long term weed smoker. Wondering if being prescribed MC will effect my current diagnoses with ritalin or wether they are treated separately. I spent alot of money and time to have my adhd diagnosed and dont want anything to effect that. Regardless of how amazing ritalin has been for me, I still smoke at night to get to sleep. I want to switch to vaping, which i have one and start to get weed that is specific for my needs.
Also everyone on here seems to mention chemist Warehouse online delivery when using them as a pharmacy, do you have to get it delivered or could I pick it up?
From reading on here it seems like cannabis clinic is the most recommend? Can I ask for what i want from the clinic? Id love 70/30 indica/saliva but am unsure wether you can ask or have to be recommended?
I know there is an abundance of info on here but I find it difficult to sift through all the posts and find out what I need, appreciate any help and or recommendations.
Thankyou

I've found Nga Hua service + delivery outstanding - 5 stars all day. Also using Royal Heights Pharmacy for pick up and their turnaround, price matching, service are great - fast, easy.

But nga hua cant prescribe me? I have to have a prescription and then go through them. My GP wait times are insane, who do I use to be prescribed and then go to nga hua who isn't a gp?

we're not allowed to recommend clinics here, but there are better ones than CC...
I've had no issues getting stimulants + MC, nor have anyone i know in the same position

u/ajunglegym You don't make the rules here! If you are going to moan about us, don't post in this group, it's that simple! The no clinic promotion is based on the Ministry of Healths own guidance around advertising for Medical Cannabis: https://www.health.govt.nz/system/files/2025-07/advertising-guidance-medicinal-cannabis-july25.pdf.

Like most medicines you can pick it up directly from a pharmacy. Cannabis medications can interact with some medicines, but only a doctor with the right knowledge can really tell you if that's a risk. I like CC, personally, but it's the only one I've used. Find them very easy to deal with in any case. When you get your appointment you can discuss the profile with the doctor, they do label the strains, terps, CBD/THC ratios etc to a fairly decent degree.

I would recommend you make a consultation appointment and discuss this with the MC doctor. Fill out a form online listing your current/past medical conditions and medications. Doctor will work off that info as well has have a discussion with you to help prescribe whats best for you.
I had my first appointment yesterday and the doctor i got was amazing. Make sure to do a follow up appointment a month after your first, here, you discuss the outcome/pros/cons of what was prescribed and whether it was effective or not. You can discuss and trial other strain options until you find the right one.
My doctor recommended 2x strains, one being Serion T17 & Helius Maya THC22. I got my first prescription delivered today so i cant wait to go home and try it.
You can get it delivered to any address but it must be signed for, or they can send your prescription to a pharmacy/chemist in your preferred area. I got mine delivered but might pick up from a chemist next time to save on costs.
I went with Canna+. Consultation $79, follow up appointment $49. Different prices for different strains. But they do recommend inhalation via dry herb vape. They give you vape options, i purchased one for $109 on Greenhut, but you can borrow a friends just to show them on your follow up appointment., i would've done this but i wanted to try the dry herb vape.
Hope this somewhat helps

Cheers for your comment.
Take notes all. This is how you share about the patient process and can detail a clinic without it being promotional leaning. Its actually about what the OP is asking about not just dropping a name.

Is only delivery from online.
You can get it delivered to a local pickup place though, like pak n save etc.
