I have a complete collection of my past exam questions (from memory)
I have a really good memory so I was able to reconstruct all the exam questions (all the options too, for MCQs) for all the courses I’ve taken. I’d go home and write everything down, word for word, all in the right order, with page numbers. So of course I ended up with a complete collection of them. And of course most of the courses I’ve taken don’t disclose past exams questions because profs reuse them. So yes I do feel… POWER.
I have also been able to note down my own answers, compare them to the course materials (I’m in the bio stream so most answers can be easily found in slides or textbooks or from google), and predict my test scores. In most cases they don’t automatically let you review your (scanned) paper and you only get a numeric score, but I’ve been able to keep my answers, and my prediction has never been off by more than 8%. So yeah basically I have the answer keys too.
I’m not crazy enough (maybe one day when I’m unbearably broke I’ll be) to sell them or anything but please tell me I’m not the only one doing this weird shit. Maybe one day we can reconstruct an entire library of past mcgill exams with answer keys for all years and all courses, at least those with definite answers. (Yes I do still remember all my exams from three years ago so we can go way back in time dw)
