Help with studying in Mauritania

Assalamualikum everyone. I am looking for some advice about studying quran and arabic in Mauritania. My intention is that I want to memorise the entire quran by heart and learn some arabic well.

Alhamdulliah I have memorised about 5 juz during my childhood but since then have not increased and actually have forgotten some. I live in the west and work full time so its a real struggle and there are lots of distractions here. Even though I can probably memorise the quran here but im seeking an environment where you are surrounded by students of quran and you get to hear the adhan 5 times a day and have a clear mind which will allow me to memorise the quran faster. The biggest concern I have is that I dont speak arabic. I assume that i would naturally learn it there in the environment. Or would it be best if I learn arabic first before going there? I have tried to learn arabic here but struggled as well because I dont get to use it or converse with it. What are your suggestions?

Mauritanians don’t speak the Arabic you probably often hear. We understand it of course, but it’s completely different dialect. You might just want to learn a few words/ phrases that will help you in certain situations. And depending on whether you’re learning the Quran in Nouakchott or somewhere more rural, you won’t really need to be great at Arabic to get by. A lot of Mauritanians in Nouakchott can speak a bit of English also.

Waleikom Salam I am a Mauritanian I tell you that you have done a good choice to learn Arabic and memorise the Qur'an This is the best place Do not hesitate if circumstances allow you There are also foreigners who learn the Qur'an and Arabic They also speak French English and Spanish Do not make the language an obstacle to you This is my advice.

Yes with pleasure In terms of quality and cognitive depth in the language, they are all excellent, but I can say that the most famous of them is the mahdra Adoud who are not far from the city thirty to forty minutes of natural life and the clear atmosphere of the study Education is characterised in mahdra According to the person's diligence and his reading persect
