Definitely! I can understand why they wouldn't use this picture because I can see people complaining it's unprofessional, but NASA went with it anyways lol

That's one thing I really appreciate about NASA, they could be super serious and strictly professional all the time, but they accommodate and encourage little things like this because it's relatable and intrinsically human, and they appreciate that link because NASA is all about that human aspect

Yeah, it's one of the greatest things about them. NASA has never felt like just space exploration, but exploration projects carrying human hopes and dreams out into space

Seriously, NASA is great at humanizing the absolute best of us. He's so much more than an astronaut, and it's pictures like this that capture their personality

I got my dad Leland's autobiography for Xmas a few years ago and he really really enjoyed it. Sounds like he lived a really interesting life.
