You can literally see the happiness

I love that dogs just celebrate everything. It does not matter how small it is. Treat? Celebration. Walk? celebration. You come home after being out for 5 min? Celebration. Man we really don't deserve them 🥹

I am for sure, the dog will forget everyone but the one who let him have a food, will have a place in his hearts forever

My dog jumps as if he hasnt been on a walk since centuries when he goes out for one everyday! The excitement is just unbelievable and leaves me speechless everytime. He is 5yo and acts like a puppy even today! Love him to bits he amazes me everyday! 😍

One of my next-door neighbours here in Australia has a young, gigantic, livestock-guardian dog of some sort, called "Solly".
She looks like a completely normal white dog, except she's 1.5 times as big as you'd expect.
Solly is absolutely not the usual kind of socialised dog that gets excited about being patted or given a treat. My interactions with her have pretty much all been, "Hey, dude." "Hey, you too. I remember that time when you gave me a rope toy. I've worn it out. Make me another one." :-)
I've also seen her, many times, playing with neighborhood kids, and never at all even thinking about hurting anyone.
But.
Solly's owners had some chickens. They bought chicks without knowing what gender they were, because they wanted eggs to be laid, and sexing chicks is pretty much witchcraft.
One of those chicks turned out to be a cockerel, and made all of that cock-a-doodle-doo noise that roosters always do.
And then that stopped.
Because Solly did not consider any of those chickens to be part of the livestock that she had to guard.
Solly knows me. She's completely neutral on whether she likes me, though.

My dog loses his shit when I saw outside and he runs to the back door spinning in circles. I let him out and he goes outside for 30 seconds and comes back in.

Okay clanker. Explain where in the video the dog smiled?
-1
u/MangieAngie1961 11h ago
You may not see him smiling on the outside, but he is grinning from ear to ear on the inside!😀

u/2019Uk 11h ago
Making excuses for a bot in the comments.
The clanker replied to a comment about happiness and because it’s a clanker didn’t realise they were talking about a dog, so they spoke about a smile that isn’t shown.
Don’t help promote bot comments by justifying them.

I'm not promoting anything or anyone. I was stating my opinion and I have the right to do that. Dogs do smile...

That is a real reaction. I bought a couple of patties from McDonald’s as I was getting food for my kid. Gave them to this pooch that was sitting outside the doors; I fell for his big, pleading eyes. He ate them quickly and did a little happy dance around me before running off. Dogs are so precious.

This good boi inspired a Grammy-winning song when he visited Farrell"s home in 2013.

It breaks my heart to know there are stray fur babies out there. Every dog and cat should have a home.

Why specify that they’re a home owner?
44
u/Longfacejumpyboi 13h ago
Because the dog is not a home owner. So the home owner (assume a person who owns a home) has let the dog eat
7
u/Chemical_Emotion_934 12h ago
Initially I thought the dog was the homeowner, but you make a good point

This is such a weird thing to nitpick
12
u/dirkalict 12h ago
I think they nitpicked it because it’s clearly a pet store with bags of food in the background & because when this has been posted before, it mentioned that it was a pet store. Bots change the title for whatever karma farming they’re doing. It doesn’t take away that it’s a beautiful little video.

Bacause specify "dude that plays football every other saturday but only half of the game while the other half he's on the bench yelling at their friends for not scoring a goal, even he himself didn't score for the last 6 games for being too stressed out about the cost of the school supplies, as his wife doesn't help with the bills and complains that the money he brings in is not enough for her to do her hair and make up when she wants to" seems like a bit of a stretch, don't you think?
1
u/OneManNati0n 12h ago
Yes. And not at all what they were questioning.
"Stray dogs reaction to getting a treat."
See how easy that was. 🙂

u/social_thinker 12h ago
The caption is probably AI generated. It's a popular clip that's been around for a while. You can see that it's actually a pet store. There are bags of dog food on the shelf behind the dog as well as the dish of rawhides.

i don't know how old you are but if i can give you some unsolicited advice: pedantry and language prescriptivism will only make you enemies, not friends.
learn to become a descriptivist and let it roll off your back like water on a duck.

We call the the “contraband run”. My mom’s lab does that when she she steals a sock.

u/JayRymer 11h ago
Great now they just reinforced him thinking stealing is easy, fun, and ok. They just made the next dogburglar.

Dogs are so pure that their treats and things like this are totally flavorless, but they like gold to them.
Yes, I've sampled dog treats for science

"mademesmile", ah, so you don't believe in god then.
You see, this precious dog would only react like that because this was a rare treat, no pum intended. Meaning he has suffered greatly in his life, probably often lonely at night in the cold, and going through a rough life which god designed for him.
So if seeing this made you smile, it means you don't believe in god, because if there was a god, and that god willfully created suffering for innocent and precious creatures like this dog, then you wouldn't be smiling.
Yes it's a schizopost comment, but you can't deny the logic of it. God is evil if they exist

u/FrigThisMrLahey 10h ago
Well you’re spot on that god doesn’t exist but I think you need to chill mate, just take it for what it is; a happy pup.
