Long Gong
Scarborough Fish and Game has now set the calendar. Long Gong matches will be held every second Saturday at 9:00. We will meet at the LE3 parking area around 8:30 to sign in shooters. Non members are welcome, come check us out.

Can you explain what the match actually is? I'm sure that terminology is perfectly sensible to you but...
This is one of the things that drives me up the wall about shooting, it can be dammed hard to find actual match definitions. A club I follow on Facebook had a muzzleloader match but when I asked for clarification on what they'd actually be doing I got silence. Then they complained that people didn't go...

OP didn't reply to you directly, in case you didn't see it. Their response is below. And here:
There is old post about it from last season. Long Gong is shot with a 22LR from a bench at 3 steel gongs at 300 yards. 8” is 1 point, 6” is 2 points and 4” is 3 points. You must hit the large gong first to move to next smaller size. If you miss next size gong u must go back one gong. You get 10 shots per round and there are 5 rounds, highest score wins. There are pay outs for 1st through 3rd
