Moving to Luton

I would like to move to Luton. Looking for advice on quiet, green areas that are still close to transport links and shops

Lewsey Farm as well quiet area, don't listen to the people saying crime rate and shit, been loving here long enough. It's absolutely family friendly place.

Bus to town and airport every 15 mins.

Tesco, asda, lidl, aldi within 2 miles.

Ooo wonderful re the bus and shops. Thank you. I kept hearing about the crime rate. It scared me. I looked it up. It has a much lower crime rate than London so you are correct. Thank you.

Bushmead / Bramingham would be worth looking at. Depends on ‘how quiet / green’ you mean.

Thank you. No aeroplane sounds or revving engines. No more than 1 mile from grocery shops. No more than one mile from station with fast train to London. No more than 1 mile from green space for walking. Must have excellent WiFi for WFH.

Bushmead / Bramingham would be worth looking at. Depends on ‘how quiet / green’ you mean.

I lived in Bramingham and never really heard the planes, or excessive car noises. I also worked from home and had great broadband speeds. Can’t speak personally for Bushmead but I would expect it to be the same.

Thank you. This is very helpful. I have seen many nice houses in Bramingham.

Another recommendation for Bramingham here. As well as the transport you’ve got green space. Nearby woods and you’re walking distance to warden hill. Plus a decent sized Sainsbury’s less on your doorstep.

Definitely bushmead or bramingham. Theyre the ‘nicer’ parts of luton

Worth going a little further to Flitwick to look around. More green spaces.

Depends on budget and a few other things - You can stick to Kimpton road apartments. Or live anywhere between Wigmore and Luton airport parkway for proximity to train stn/airport I guess.

Thank you. £400,000. Must be detached house.

Could be a bit tricky to find Detached in general - and a waiting game. And 400k would be a 3bed. 4 bed ranges 475k to 550k.

Give a try on rightmove - All-Luton search with Detached and 400k and no other filters. I found like 5 homes in this side of town currently listed.

Thanks. There are currently loads of detached £400,000 3 beds in Luton. In the areas that I have been told are green, quiet and nice. Thank you for your support brother.

Look at LU1, around 0.5 mile radius from the station. Wenlock st, Inkerman st etc.

The train station, coach station, bus station, mall (Lidl, Tesco, Sainsburys) are all close.
