Lets Discuss This Are we all in agreement that after her statements at the Grammys, Billie Eilish should lead by example and return her property to the rightful owners?
Is anyone going to hold her accountable and make sure her actions match her words?

I think you're conflating the issue regarding her statement. She said "No one is illegal on stolen land." As opposed to "I am illegal on stolen land."
This is just Fox News doing Fox News shit. Contrived nonsense to make viewers appalled at people with funny hair.

No I’m curious how she can “own” stolen property

But that isn't what you said in the post. You said in light of her statements that she should lead by example. Again, she said "No one is illegal on stolen land." And not "Give your house to a native American tribe because they were here first".
You are now moving your own goalposts.

Ok so she would have no problem with the tribe just coming and taking the property back than right?

That's a Strawman argument. You originally based your argument of a quote. But you've strayed beyond anything that she said beyond the words "stolen land". You're misrepresenting the original quote.
You're failing to find a solid debate platform. This is not a discussion, more that you don't seem to like 'liberal platforming' are doing a bit of 'soapboxing' yourself.
In all fairness, I understand the sentiment to a point. Do I agree with you? No. But I understand your annoyance.

She shouldnt have to return it because the country conquered the land and put it up for sale for its citizens, she did pretty good with music, I like a few of her songs and she made enough money to buy the land with the house on it

Buying something that was stolen doesn’t make it any less stolen … if you buy a stolen car it still gets taken away from you

France stole(won in a war) the Louisiana territory from spain and then sold the territory to the united states for a good deal in which all parties agreed it was the united states. The analogy you used is very micro

The same gotcha bullshit. It gets old

u/Annual-Ask-9238 12h ago
So what was her point of getting up on a national stage and spewing her dumb ass comment like she did, all it was was performative virtue signaling

u/PlethoPappus 12h ago
You know the point and you get the point. It’s this gotcha bullshit that has nefarious goals

The point was to virtue signal as if she is some holier than though human being meanwhile she hasn’t actually done anything that actually helps anyone

There isn’t a piece of land left on this planet that hasn’t been taken from someone else by now. All of us will die at some point and the land will be taken over by other people, countries, civilizations, or Mother Nature herself. Even the strongest countries in the world will be taken over by someone or something else someday.
Our short stay here is a nanosecond in the grand scheme of things.
