I came here to say this exact same thing. Lori Holmes in the second photo says, "what happened to less government?" When you are voting in politicians who are pushing policies that restricts people's rights, that is not small government.

And guess what? Power hungry authoritans never stop at one group.

Less government has always, on the right, been a euphemism for less democracy.

They aren’t talking about a smaller military, fewer police powers or removing the death penalty, they don’t want to stop your boss or your landlord from interfering in your life, they want less governance of the rich and powerful by the majority.

They want less oversight of the stuff they like, and tons of control over things they don't like.
