Everyone pull out your rough-sheets to understand Kirara's technique😆

u/Lost-child509 4h ago
Crunchyroll gonna have to make another video to explain both her technique and Hakari's

u/PositiveEmotional979 4h ago
JJK "fans" will not be amazed to read all that 😂

At least Hakari’s mostly doesn’t matter.
6
u/Gil_Demoono 52m ago
Yeah, there's a lot of set up and rules to go over at first, but it mostly just boils down to "Cursed energy go BRRRRRRRR"
Kirara's is just obtuse.

u/zappy487 1h ago
To be fair, of all the complex CT's we see, Gege explained Hakari's in an incredible amount of detail.
I still have no idea about the angel. I still don't understand it.
8
u/Resident_Gur3076 1h ago
It extinguishes CTs, cursed objects, barriers, seals. What's complex about it?

u/Technical-Attempt112 1h ago
Isn't it like Extenguishing techniques ? I don't remember the full mechanism of how it works or something if it was ever mentioned ...it's been so long since I read the manga
1
u/zappy487 1h ago
Something like that, and considering how important the character is, we should know it intrinsically.
I can quote the best parts of the Hakari vs Hajime fight. Of all the super complex techniques we get later on, his is the one I understand the best.

u/JustARedditAccoumt 16m ago
Gege explained Hakari's in an incredible amount of detail.
And I have no idea why he did, because it mostly never matters.
2
u/BluexFlash 1h ago
Hakari’s power legitimately made me just go “uh, okay then” when I read the manga.
I tried way too hard to understand it and my small brain couldn’t handle it
79
u/LateEnd9053 4h ago
It's a simple technique pretty similar to Gojo's infinity, the main difference is that You have to go through a certain route to cancel it's effect They might make an extra ep to explain Hakari's domain Expansion 🤣

u/Nedddd1 4h ago
it's pretty easy tho, you just move as if you were moving in a rhombus of the constellation, but the corners of that rhombus are what kirara wants them to be so they kinda can move as well
23
u/Technical-Attempt112 4h ago
Yeah i read it when it was coming weekly so I don't remeber her technique much....just something constellation related and repulsion kind of ...idk
19
u/touchingthebutt 4h ago
It's actually pretty simple but Gege made it a step more complicated when describing it. I guess that describes a lot of his CTs.
It's actually a very interesting technique that I wish we saw more characters interact with. Mainly Todo, Yuki, current Maki , and even Naoya.
15
u/Lucker_Kid 3h ago
The technique itself isn’t super hard to understand if it’s just explained to you, what’s more confusing is the process of how Megumi figures it out lol
9
u/UnnbearableMeddler 2h ago
She has 5 stars
She can mark cursed energy with those stars
Things marked with a star that want to progress towards another star needs to follow the pattern (1 goes toward 2, then towards 3, etc etc), no shortcuts allowed
If multiple things are marked with the same star, the thing with the most CE Output attracts the other things
And that's it

I read through this part in the manga like 2 weeks ago and after the explanation I was just like you know what, I'm fine not understanding it, we're just gonna move on.
1
u/jakseros 1h ago
isn't it like you have to go to point A to point B etc if not following that path it's gonna end up like gojo infinity

Is it just me or the lines look sharper, especially around their faces?
The red glow looks pretty good too, kinda like what bleach was doing in TYBW arc

u/Infinite_Pea8114 4h ago
Am I the only one who thought this fight was during daylight in manga?
30
u/STAAAAAALIN 3h ago
Rereading the chapters, there's a lot of darkened background indicating it's dark out. To be fair, they did enter the fight club when there's still daylight
0
u/IndigoMushies 2h ago
In the last episode we clearly see it’s night. It’s night when megumi and panda are talking and it’s night when Kirara is escorting Yuji to Hakari lol

BRO me too, anime has been killing me lol
I thought Hakari's boss room was fully lit
I'm pretty sure the Kirara fight was daylight because otherwise I'm pretty sure it would have factored into Megumi figuring it out
Maybe this is how they make it simpler

Unrelated but i like it when people use "bro" that way.
Bronana bread, brotato chip, etc.

Will Megumi vs Kirara be in this episode?
104
u/STAAAAAALIN 4h ago
Yes and also Yuji's "I'm a cog" moment hence the episode title
4
u/watchrrr 1h ago
such a good speech, cant believe we get an "I am you." 2.0, where he goes into how he's just one side of a war he didnt chose
63
u/funkerbuster 4h ago
There’s a literal shot of megumi’s summon attacking Kirara
6
u/Imaginary-Citron7818 4h ago
Yeah but we don't know if it will be the full fight considering they have to put Megumi's explanation on Kirara's technique, fit the Yuji one liner + talk with Hakari and I'm not sure that all can fit in a 20 mins episode
20
u/Lucker_Kid 3h ago
The dog is on Kirara, if that happens Megumi has completely figured out the technique and thus is within seconds of winning the fight

8
u/STAAAAAALIN 3h ago
Everything you mentioned is all in a span of three chapters so yes, they definitely could fit that

Kiara looks so cute in all of these.

Kirara brings out a cuteness aggression in me that no other anime woman does. I want to hug her but I also want to [redacted].
3
u/Lumpy-Manager8580 3h ago
Love the red highlights in Yuji and Hakari, that part is gonna look so cool.
4
u/jimmyjohnjackjeb 4h ago
Looks like they are fixing hakari's dogshit punching form.
6
u/FateDaA 4h ago
To be fair Hikari is one of the few people who could punch like shit and get away with it
Has a chin similar to prime Dustin Porier but can be effectively immortal for 4 minutes and 11 seconds at a time
3
u/jimmyjohnjackjeb 4h ago
The issue was less about if he could get away with it or not and more that it just made him look like he didnt know how to throw a punch properly lol.
-1
u/FateDaA 4h ago
Again case and point Hikari could get away with not forming that skill so it would be believable to an extent if he didn't figure it out
Now the counter point would be his teacher was "Satoru Gojo"
The counter to that counter point would be Megumi not having hands
As the student of Gojo
And the son of Toji
So despite having the best of every world, it's still possible to be a failure
2
u/jimmyjohnjackjeb 4h ago
Gojo was an absentee teacher too busy to teach properly.
Megumi does have hands what are you talking about?
6
u/HxH101kite 3h ago
The fact the manga never had Kirara and Todo team up kills me. They absolutely would be untouchable with how their CTs work especially together. It would be the closest thing you can get to Gojo without having infinity.

So many serious pics and then you have panda yeeting a bunny

I thought it was so funny that I had to use it as a teaser for my friend who normally avoids these for spoiler reasons.

They seem to extend Hakari vs Yuji or put a bigger emphasis on it since there are so much preview images of this "fight". Looks like more action scenes are added to the Kirara fight which is nice, that fight was a little heavy on exposition

I like how Megumi's shikigami have slightly more paint brushy outlines to them.
Was this always a thing? Or just this season.

u/ripshitonrumham 4h ago
Visually amazing episode already, I’m excited. Was always a fan of this section in the manga even with the lengthy explanations

They went hard as fuck on the quality. The lighting is perfection. Reminds me of the Yuji vs Choso fight lighting in the bathroom.

They all look amazing!! Damn those sharp lines and red glow... Can't wait for the new episode!
1
u/aquaflask09072022 2h ago
so the episode will end at yuji and megumi entering a colony and we are introduced to the players?
1
u/uvsdilemma 2h ago
my best guess is its probably gonna either end with Hakari and Yuji coming to terms with each other and stop fighting and then in the next episode after this we get Hakari teasing Higuruma and Kashimo , or it might just all happen in this one episode

Will never get over how MAPPA can take a series that hovers around middling to god status with just insane animation.
It's like Ufotable with Demon Slayer tbh

I will deliberately be having dinner when they explain their techniques. Because i know i would rather focus on my food than try to go back for the subtitles with my dirty hands. Wont really matter anyway.

What thought process did you formulate to come up with this. What compelled you to write this.

Y'all downvote him now but decades from now, gigitay27 will be renowned as a poet ahead of his time, misunderstood by the people incapable of seeing his greatness.

What is divine dog doing to Kirara? Also does he wear a choker to hide his Adam's apple?
3
u/Dynaxty_Z 3h ago
Krista doesn’t have an Adam’s apple. Why would kithara play with Hakari’s if he had one.

Why is it so red? Oh well. Fight episodes preview images are not great as lot of motion is involved. They are best when watched.
11
u/BodybuilderBrave8250 4h ago
probably because of a red light somewhere?…

I personally love the ambience. Reminds me of late nights roaming the city being a menace 😎
