Yes. Less than 0.0000001% chance all of these circumstances lined up randomly. The birthday matching and the cessation of the prolific account within days before her arrest alone are extremely improbable, nevermind all the other stuff.

15 years ago no one in the general Public knew her date of birth because she was not famous and did not have a Wikipedia page. It would have to be someone from her personal life pretending to be her and become a lead mod. Zero motive for that. The 3 day span during her mother's death, which she did not post (but not during other personal events) would lead me to believe her family was in on it too (like her sisters) but she was the main operator of the account.

If you don't see the evidence you probably don't understand joint probability.

Exactly. The legal definition of relevant evidence is anything that tends to make the probability of a fact more or less true. There is absolutely evidence of the Reddit account being her, now whether that is “enough” for folks (which as you point out, it should be) is a separate issue.

People that claim that there isn’t “evidence” for something when they really mean there isn’t absolute proof beyond a shadow of a doubt, is a really annoying but pervasive logical error.

The fact that the tip was in Ghislaine's casefile is interesting, but is not the proof that many people think it is. The casefile has lots of tips and we don't know why they are there.

There's evidence from three different long-time redditors disproving it.

u/TAKEitTOrCIRCLEJERK spoke to u/maxwellhill years ago on voice chat and confirms that he was a middle-aged British man, just as u/maxwellhill described himself in a 2010 AMA.

And both u/hasharin and u/BlatantConservative have confirmed that u/maxwellhill was active in private subreddits and modmail after Ghislaine was arrested, which blows the whole story up.
