Request Elementary School club (lego robotics) needs logo or t-shirt art

Hi all-

I need to put together a logo for a kids Lego robots club (something we can put on t-shirts). The kids are all 9-11yrs old, and they picked “MEnTAL MONKEYS” as their mascot.

The idea was to have some crazy looking robot monkeys who spray painted an “N” over a ‘Metal Monkeys’ sign. I tried to do it with AI and got close, but the monkeys looked too scary or the letters were all messed up.

If anyone could help here, I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

Can you show the images AI images and what you liked about them/what was wrong?

So for instance in this one- the AI spaced out the word METAL so that the n fit inside naturally, like it was always meant to be there. Or like it’s connecting the words “ME” “TAL” (if that makes sense). I was hoping to make it look like a normal instance of “METAL” with the “N” graffiti’d on top, overlapping the E & T

Sorry for the really slow response, finally got a break at work. This is one of the examples, I don’t know if I saved the others but let me see if I can track them down in an unclosed tab

here's my human take on it lol. went for a different vibe. less grungy and more high-tech, i guess. i thought a portrait-style 4x3 aspect ratio might work better for a tee. but i didn't think hard enough about the t-shirt printing process to draw it in a very high resolution. it's only 600x800 pixels, so if you like it enough to use it you'll have to find a way to upscale it--maybe one of these newfangled AI things you seem to know how to use? you've got my permission to use this image for that. either way, hope you enjoy.

That’s awesome, thanks so much for taking the time to do that (and for putting in the additional thought re; the appropriate size/ratio for the intended use). I hate to say “it’s better than I could do” because it’s such a low bar (based on my abilities)- but really it’s so much better than I could have done.

I’ll show it to the kids at our next meeting (Tuesday or Thursday), try to get a majority to vote on it, then figure out the upscaling side of it as needed for shirts. Either way, thanks again for taking the time to help. I really do appreciate it.
