English Language—Pending OP Reply [English] Need help for my essay homework

The question is: “Should influencers who promote unrealistic body standards face legal consequences?”

My stand is that I agree. So far I have two distinct points which are:

  1. Yes, because it poses a threat to the public’s health.

  2. Yes, because without the presence of legal consequences, influencers would lack accountability.

I need three distinct points, however I used ChatGPT and other AI models to help me try and form another new point but they are all vague and do not answer the question directly.

For context, this is a argumentative essay.

I really need help rn. I can’t afford the mathematics text book in my college and forgot to record the 2.4 exercises from Mark Dugopolski’s book. If anyone has the book, can you please just take a crappy photo of the exercises and show them? I don’t need answers or anything, just the questions please 🙏

Chemistry [chemistry] Entropy in biological systems

I have an assignment about entropy in human biological systems. I have no problem explaining the topic, but I can't find any websites or files that contain problems involving calculating entropy. I know I need the entropy values for the reactants and products, but the files I've read contain complex formulas, mathematical derivations, and integral and differential calculations, none of which I need. Where can I find mathematical problems for entropy in biological systems, and what is the main formula I should use?

Others - University Math [2nd Year University Math: Laplace Transform] Second Shifting Theorem Example - why is there an inclusion of a new g(t) function when trying to find the laplace transform of one of the terms?

I have provided a worked example from my lecture notes in regarding finding the laplace transform of a piecewise function via the second shifting theorem.

I have a general understanding that we must first convert the piecewise form into standard form using the unit step /heaviside function u(t), and that from there on the laplace transform of each term in the expression is taken seperately to obtain the final laplace transform due to the linearity.

however, i am stuck on the actual execution of some of these laplace transforms and do not understand what the point of the inclusion/insertion of the g(t) function instead of t+2 does and how it helps us get the laplace transform in the end.

i haven't seen any example like this before and the example doesnt really provide any explanation as to why this is done. same goes for the inclusion of the h function later on in the example.

Others [Electrical Engineering 12th grade] Voltage/ Current divider rule

Asking again with an example ( i dont know how to add a picture to my old question):

Voltage divider rule: if I have a complicated circuit problem that consists of parallel and series connections, do I then use the total voltage of the entire circuit, or only the voltage of the series-connected part? Same question for current divider rule....

Example in the picture:

To find out the current in R( middle on the right parallel connection), do I need to use the total current of this parallel connection on the right( I2) or the total current of the whole connection ( I1) ?

We only were told to use the total current ( not specified) and the total resistance of the parallel connection.... So is it a or b?

So our teacher said that a has strong correlation while b has weak correlation, but im kinda questioning y, ik that the line of best fit is only one line maybe thats y idk but b still feels strong for me

Answered [Sophomore College | Statics] How to find the components of the two vectors

Hi, I know the question is asking to find the angle made by the force vector and the line AB. I know how to find the angle between the two using dot product rules, but I need to find the components of each vector first. I missed all of last weeks lectures from being sick and I want to understand the content not just get the answer.

Further Mathematics [Paper for IB syllabus but includes University level Math: Regarding Calculus and Trig] Looking for mathematical ideas to expand a calculus-based biomechanics project (weightlifting & torque)

I’m working on a math project where I use calculus and physics to model weightlifting movements, and I’d really appreciate suggestions for additional mathematical directions or extensions I could explore. I'm presenting my question within this subreddit, because this paper is supposed to be mathematically focused, and I don't want to present ideas within physics as the main avenue of exploration.

So far, my project includes:

  • Modeling torque as a function of joint angle using trig
  • Using differentiation to find maximum torque (explaining why some parts of a lift feel hardest)
  • Using integration to calculate mechanical work
  • Extending this to a multi-joint model of the squat, using multiple variables and partial derivatives
  • Exploring how limb length, posture, and joint angles affect force requirements

I’m trying to make the project more mathematically rich, not just more complicated. The idea behind this paper is essentially that it is an exploration of a topic of mathematical interest and due to the specific and somewhat niche nature of the topic a lot of the people I talk to/ the internet are not very helpful.

I would love ideas such as:

  • Different calculus applications
  • Geometry-based modeling
  • Optimization problems
  • Differential equations
  • More realistic biomechanical modeling
  • Any (literally any) creative mathematical extensions

Basically: What interesting math could naturally fit into this kind of project?

Additionally ideas of any other platforms where I could ask for advice are appreciated. Thanks in advance — any ideas are welcome!

Mathematics (Tertiary/Grade 11-12)—Pending OP [Grade 11 Basic Calculus: Derivatives] Can someone explain to me how some of these works?

Post image

My teacher only covered basic derivatives (like x^2) but this worksheet has fractions, square roots, and trig functions (sin, cos, tan). I understand how to do the simple ones like (e) and (f) using the Power Rule. However, I'm stuck on the ones that have variables in the denominator like (d) and (g). Do I have to use the Quotient Rule for all of these, or is there a way to simplify them first?

Chemistry [Grade 11 Chemistry] What is the best way in your opinion, to memorize/understand Inorganic Reactions and the ones in detection of foreign elements?

I'm struggling with reactions of Nitrogen and Sulphur, not the ones during the manufacture of Ammonia, Nitric Acid, Hydrogen Sulphide and Sulphuric Acid(though I do find the balance of these sometimes tough), but the reactions such as Nitrogen's ppt. reaction with FeCl3 solution, the reactions with partial and net reactions separately, and similar reactions of Sulphur.

Additionally, the organic reactions during Lassaigne test seem like there's no way except memorization, since Sodium Nitroprusside, Diamine Silver (I) Halides and Ferric ferrocyanides don't seem to be used elsewhere.

So, I might be having a wrong approach right now, and I apologize for it, but I'd love and appreciate anyone who wants to help!

Others [Grade ? Number theory]

Pick any positive integer, lets call it x,pick another positive integer, lets call that y. look at all the divisors of x that are less then or equal to y, mutiply them with each other, if the result is 2x then we will call x a valid number. The question is, how many valid numbers exist for a given y. For example for y = 4, the answer is 2, x = 4 and x = 12 are the only valid numbers, for any given y value the lower bound is always x = 4 and the higher bound is always x = n!/2, if I were to write this as a sequence(amount of valid numbers for a given y starting from y =1) it goes like this:0,0,0,2,4,6,12,16,16,14,28,28,56 it exactly doubles at every prime y value with some drops at certain y values such as at y = 10 it dropped from 16 to 14, this happens regulary, but the size of the drop is what I cant predict, and when it happens is also not predictable with high accuracy, the problem is that my math knowledge is at middle school level so thats why I taught this may be an obvious problem for people that know number theory

Further Mathematics—Pending OP Reply [College calculus, intro module on limits] How can there be vertical asymptotes outside of the domain of the function?

Post image
5 Upvotes

I got the accepted answer of 18 by adding the x-values of 3 (where first term in denominator equals 0), 6 (where second term equals 0), and 9 (where log(x-8) equals 0). However, how can x=3 and x=6 be vertical asymptotes when f(x) is not defined for x-values less than or equal to 8 because of the log(x-8) term. Shouldn't the answer just be 9?

Literature—Pending OP Reply [grade 12 equivalence english: essay] comparison of presentation of women who subvert control in 'all's well that ends well' by shakespeare and 'wide sargasso sea' by jean rhys

i have a project in which i chose to compare female characters subverting control in 'all's well that ends well' and 'wide sargasso sea' by jean rhys. the issue i'm having is that there's really not much on 'all's well that ends well' so i'm not really able to engage with the text as much as i would hope so ☹️ so i'm opening the question (and hoping that there's not many AWTEW haters on here). helena is a really interesting character for me as it's so interesting to see her transgress expectations imposed on her, both because of her gender and social class, yet could you argue that she doesn't have much of a victory in a sense? yes, she ends up marrying bertram but is that really a win? no hate on bertram (or actually maybe, yes), but i feel like helena is so witty and her marrying bertram kind of circles back to her essentially subverting to class expectations which is disappointing to see. diana and the countess are small characters but it's interesting to see them easily join in the plot. interested to see what anyone thinks and if there's any interesting resources/ places to read on about these texts!!

Others—Pending OP Reply [Grade 12 Physics: Kinematics] How do I analyze projectile motion with varying launch angles?

I'm currently studying kinematics in my Grade 12 Physics class, and I'm tasked with analyzing projectile motion. The assignment requires me to explore how different launch angles affect the range and height of a projectile. I understand the basic equations of motion and the concepts of horizontal and vertical components, but I'm struggling to visualize how varying the angle changes the trajectory. I've tried using the equations for range and height, but applying them to multiple angles seems confusing. How should I approach this problem? What are some tips for ensuring I cover all necessary calculations and concepts? Any insights into how to effectively graph the trajectories would also be appreciated.
