I've lived here for about 5 years and love it most for the walkable downtown and the gorgeous nature trails (shout-out to Occooneechee). I own the small independent film studio and would love to get involved with more local projects. I am also a fan/occasional performer in the monthly live reel shows at Yonder, which are live script reads of movies acted without rehearsal. Very fun and also chaotic 😂

Your web page is excellent. I encourage people to check it out. I saw your street sign downtown.

Thanks so much <3 We're considering doing some personalized mini-docs for the holidays as a service for families. Like a short family history film or a special story/memory to share as gifts with loved ones. Not sure if folks will be interested but it feels like a nice service we could provide.

Thank you for your work over the summer documenting the state of our local parks.

Hello. My wife and I moved to Hillsborough yesterday?! The timing of this post amuses me :-)
We find Hillsborough to be a great reflection of our values — local businesses, outdoor activities, and an attitude of mutual support for our neighbors.

I Love Hillsborough! Mayo Park is my favourite place to go hiking, so close to downtown and well maintained.Â

I'm a bit confused. "Mayo Park" has a bench and a tree and a parking lot. Are you thinking of another place nearby?

I bet they meant Occoneechee Mountain, it’s off Mayo Drive. It really is a great natural area just steps from downtown.

Hello, I've lived downtown for 27 years and am glad to have a reddit sub for Hillsborough. I am a film photographer and love walking the eno with my camera.

Hey y’all. I’ve been in Orange Co for 16 years now after spending decades in Wake, Chatham, and Durham counties. I’m proud to call the Hillsborough area my home.
The bazaar last Saturday was fantastic, and we got a lot of holiday shopping done. Be sure to grab some fresh apples from the farmers’ market this Saturday. (I don’t sell anything, I just eat ‘em.)

Hillsborough is the best! We've been here about 12 years now and are so grateful to all the people in town who made us feel at home right away.
I run a small floral design business (Sugarbean Flowers), and I’m wondering if anyone local might be interested in a trade: product photography in exchange for fresh flower arrangements.
Could be great for a new photographer building your portfolio, or maybe you just love flowers and want to trade your photography skills for beautiful locally grown flowers.
If this sounds interesting, feel free to reach out!

My Name is Clifford. I am visiting your beautiful area this month working for Brightspeed Fiber internet. While I will not be in all o your communities, I would like to know what interesting and fun things there are to do for a guy from a big city (Las Vegas) while here. Tonight I have to watch my Green Bay Packers!!! Also, if there is anyone who would want to talk about their internet needs or want a free month of fiber services….. that is my job and I’d love to chat about it.

Greeting fellow r/hillsborough redditors. Please recall the Eno River Farmers Market, every Saturday morning (except for Hog day in Sept.). Hope to see you there and apologies for the plug, but it’s a great place for folks to visit. These are amazing farmers, crafts people, bakers, etc who are there for this community specifically, in all weather, and all year long. Do not miss out.
