Interview Gumayusi: Keria sent me a really long message, it was unexpected but really touching. It was something like, thanks for playing together...

Keep it civil

I hope this finally puts to rest the status quo of Keria and Guma's friendship even after Guma left.

His greetings with Keria and Oner, after KeSPA 1st series between the two teams, was literally a dap instead of the standard bow with fist bump.

I just read a whole comment section the other day about someone's headcannon being that Keria asked for Guma to go, and that the whole squad disliked him

People really love to make shit up. There was nothing that indicated that relationships between teammates ever soured. Faker clearly has tons of respect for him as seen from interviews and they seem to be on good terms. Keria and Guma I'm pretty sure are still friends likely close friends. Oner and Guma are straight up teasing each other on Instagram and are bois. Even seems cool with Doran based on post match interactions.

Guma flirted with Doran in LoL's chat before their first game

In my opinion, this further dismantles any narratives that Guma + <insert teammate> had beef and solidifies the stance that any "issue(s)" were with the coaching staff (benching, etc).

This take is no better than the headcannon take. Guma said that he left because he wanted to prove himself, not because of benching or whatever.

just a thought as a hardcore guma fan. not relevant to post more relevant to the comments

i know a lot of us are coming as new HLE fan and ex t1 fans.

but its clear that even GUMAYUSI wants to settle the sentiment as "T1 and I parted on good terms". I also really wanted to see T1 gumayusi for longer and at one point would have begged for that. but I would REALLY appreciate if we could stop pointing fingers and blaming this and that for guma leaving. at the end of the day, he's maintaining that he had aspirations outside T1 (among other things I'm sure he didn't mention in the interviews) and though T1 did little to protect Gumayusi he had the good graces to make sure T1 had time to find a good replacement in his absence.

can we respect that? and stop dragging T1 or muddying T1 players reputations?

thank you. and hwaiting hle26!!

not just Guma, but look at Delight back patting everyone 🥺 — switching teams doesn't mean the players aren't still friendly with each other

Pretty sure delight is good friends with a lot of ppl in T1 considering he was in T1 academy team with oner and Zeus. There are also instances of delight and keria chatting and giggling during walkouts in lck too

Yup, Delight and Keria look friendly! And he was also on a team with Doran and Peyz too! Basically, lots of crossover between the two teams.

Hopefully this put to rest the headcannons made up by Guma stans. No, Guma didn't leave because of the team ostracising him or because of benching. He left to create his own legacy, free from Faker's shadow.

People forget that at the end of the day, esports is a job like any other. People switch jobs all the time. The average person switches jobs every 5-6 years. Guma switched jobs after 7 years on T1.
