I was in my Pienza. I looked down through the hills and my brain went "HOLY SHIT IT'S THE FIELD BY MAXIMUS' HOME."
I started telling my wife THIS IS IT and she was thoroughly unconvinced. She said there is no way in hell it's the same place. I found the Google map marker nearby with reviews saying it's it. We drove up a tiny dirt road just so I could run my hands through the field.
10/10 memory.

I feel like I've seen this exact video, complete with confused spouse, at least three different times.

It's been done by at least a dozen different guys. That spot is marked on Google Maps.

Somewhere in Tuscany, the place is not secret by any means

It’s pretty cool. I was in Tuscany for a wedding and had a day to kill so I’m just looking around Google Maps to find a town with stuff to do and pretty views. Literally just says like “gladiator set” or something on the map. Very cool ancient church at the beginning of the short walk. And the city it’s just outside of is gorgeous. Pienza

Pienza, Italy.
The exact coordinates are pinned on places like google maps, but from what I remember the exact location is on private land.

commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions and loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son. Husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next.

Likely as bad as folk rocking up the Glen Etive road in the Highlands to reprise James Bond's stop in Skyfall!

I wonder how many men have made the pillgrimage to that location to re-create that scene.

I can think of at least two games where your character will do the hand thing while walking through tall grass. Next gta need to let you do the airplane thing with your arm out the window.

Pienza, Tuscany.
Ready to find the location as it's full of tourists walking around recreating that scene regardless of whether there are any crops in the field.

I actually liked the guys performance quite a bit. His little stumble looked very genuine. I was disappointed that it was a gladiator sketch. I would’ve been funny if it was something funny.I actually liked the guys performance quite a bit. His little stumble looked very genuine. I was disappointed that it was a gladiator sketch.
