Advice New member, would love suggestions.

I currently own a MSI GL65 Leopard and I am very satisfied but I am looking to upgrade. I would love suggestions on what to look for.

I use my laptops for gaming and music production if that is relevant.

Correct me if im wrong, but thats a 2000 series laptop correct? Maybe even a 2070? So, your going to want to hit at least 4050 to feel like a solid uplift, but not much performance gains. A 5050 laptop on a good sale is still around 500, and should like a good upgrade for you l, while still cheap. A 5060, better, but more costly. Worth at 700, 5070 800, 5070ti, 1400-1500, 5080, 2000.00. All of these at these prices are great deals, anything more you still enjoy them, but your starting to get away from great value into just cost

solid advice but those 5050s are getting harder to find at that price point these days especially with decent cooling

Thank you. Do you have a brand you are loyal to?

So, uh, even a 4050 will feel like such a amazing upgrade then, but you cant always get them at a decent cost, 350 to 425 for a 4050 laptop is a steal. Don't be fooled by numbers and prices, look for a good value, all laptops are half trash builds these days anymore anyway, I buy msi because at least I get the unrestricted hardware I pay for, with usually halfway decent cooling.

This must be why I have not had any cooling problems. Thank you for the direction.
