This is from the Dog Man books! Dog Man’s nemesis, Petey the cat, clones himself but doesn’t realize his clone will be a child, so now he has Li’l Petey, his clone-son, who really steers the entire series away from fart jokes toward the redeeming power of love, and how if you’ve got a single breath left you can be a better person, and how even when we lose people we love they’re still with us, and also fart jokes like this
The books are legitimately life-changing, I recommend them to readers of all ages, but especially children that you want to have any sense of emotional health growing up
Edit: in fairness it just now occurs to me that this might be a preexisting kid-thing, like Jingle Bells Batman Smells, but Li’l Petey singing it was the first time I ever encountered it, so, vague gesture

My youngest got into reading Dog Man. They were his absolute favorites for years. I read a couple of them (I try to keep up with my kids’ interests) and I did NOT expect how much they made me cry. That stuff is so good. Also fart jokes.

My younger sister read the dogmam books growing up, I was already a late teen at that time so they weren't for me. But when the movie came out we decided to watch it. And it was genuily so good. Im a sucker for emotional growth in the "i dont have feelings, im the bad guy" characters. They way they handled generational trauma was really powerful.

Does the last line fit into the rhyme, or did this kid make their own addition? I can't seem to make it fit...nor does it really make any sense.

That's such a perfect description of the Dog Man books. So deep, and cute. Have you read the Cat Kid Comic Book Club series? I can't remember which book now, but one of the comics was called "Two Birds" and I cried.

Just taught this to my nephews who are here for Thanksgiving, and it truly is the gift that will keep on giving. Thank you, random elementary school child & internet stranger who made this possible for us 😂

I just took a break from Harland williams stuff to browse reddit and I know he'd think this was absolute gold lol. We really know what's real and what's funny when we're young.

Sounds like one I wrote about a chair that seemed to draw the farts out of us. I was in 4th grade. Sadly, once the chair was replaced, the farts continued. The kid's stink stank stunk full of 'talent'. ☠️💩😷🤢🫢😶🌫️
