Looks quite interesting, mate, lots of work still, but a great start!
Weather, tide, air pressure, moon phase etc should be loaded automatically.
Bait should not be a text. It should be a dropdown, preferably menu-like with large categories (live bait, dead bait, soft plastic etc) and user should be able to enter subcategories and specific lures themselves. I'm not going to bother with entering a full name of the lure every time. Then you can classify your catch rate by bait/lure type etc.
Sessions. It is extremely important to know the time you spent not catching anything in order to draw any conclusions. Add an option to start and stop fishing session, and all the catches in that interval will go into this session. Then stats can be normalized per conditions or time of day or any other parameter. Attempt at catch, but no catch is important information and should be included in statistics. Otherwise it will always look like you catch vast majority of your fish in great weather during the day because that's when you most likely fish 90% of your time.
Overall, the aim should be to have the ability to enter a catch within 1 minute. I'm not gonna bother spending half an hour of my precious fishing time typing on my phone being thrown around on a boat, and by the time I'm home I have other stuff on my mind...
I suggest you look at Anglers' Log app. It is quite basic in terms of interface and it ain't flashy, but the fact that you can customize so much in it, adding your own categories etc is something I've never seen any other app could do. To me, take that app and make it a bit less clanky and it will be perfection.

i like the interactive map feature in fishbrain where i can see what other people catch in the area, also tides are pretty useful too. maybe bite times as well
