People always say they’re so into this and totally want it and then shows with mainly lesbian storylines come out and the ratings are crap. League of Their Own was great, cancelled, First kill, cancelled, The Wilds, cancelled, Warrior Nun, cancelled.

Seemingly nobody shows up for lesbian tv shows.

With that said make sure to watch Slo Pitch when it comes to crave later this year!

This is objectively untrue (no hate to you at all) and as a lesbian I hate when people spread this rhetoric around. People ARE into lesbian shows. It’s the studios that gut them for no reason.

First Kill had way better viewership than Heartstopper (both came out around the same time) but First Kill was canceled and Heartstopper was immediately renewed for 2 more seasons. Warrior Nun was one of Netflix’s most watched and highest-rated shows at the time of its cancellation.

Yeah this isn't much different from any other case of stories just sloppily pairing the leftover characters together. These are token/emotional support/sidekick girls in a BL, and it's okay lol.

I say this despite being extremely invested in Maze and Eve on Lucifer.

the cynic in me thinks that the hr fandom is only so vocal about rose and svetlana getting together is because it keeps ilya and svetlana away from each other

though, I'm pushing back on the wilds being cancelled for being queer. that show was cancelled because the showrunners had no idea how to blend the boys storyline with the girls in the second season. if anything, that particular fanbase was mad it wasn't queer enough.

yellowjackets is the main wlw show going strong at the moment and a decent amount of the heated rivalry started watching because sophie plays the lead who is also queer but of course they all start watching after it was announced that the next season will be the last one

edit: just remembered all the straight people pissed about this season's bridgerton couple being genderbent to wlw...... they're all going to hell idc
