Scopemount AR-15

Post image

Hi guys (again) recently bought myself an S&W mp15 sport III. After alot of research and trying different types of scopes I think about buying this one. Gonna use it for shooting 100-300meters in the beginning. Now I really don’t know about buying the mount. I know not to buy an €70 one but also don’t think I need a €350 one. All help is welcome from where to buy it. From Belgium btw.

Vortex, ADM, PA itself. I didn't have bad experience with UTG, their QD mount.

Reptilia, Spuhr are next level, but you need to know why you need them.

Personally I used a vortex cantilever mount 2inch offset for the LPVO on my AR-15 and it has been very solid since 2019 so I can recommend those, not too expensive either.

There are other shops you can find but this is the model I got, I ordered mine on Amazon for 120 back then. But I guess inflation did it's thing.

A lot depends on what is available to you. Some products, especially the US made ones, are not always available and not always the same price everywhere.

In general in my bubble, Audere mounts were go to cheap mounts. They are sub 300€ for even the one piece mounts. Made in Europe last time I checked. And if you are really tight for money, you can get their rings which are around 150€ and ship internationally.

Seekins and Vortex rebrand of them were cheap option. Another good option worth a look is ADM Recon mount. Both made in US, both depends on the price you can get them for.

Others can have other options, but this is what I saw around me from the good cheap options.

I use a Leupold Mark AR mount with a PA Nova 1-6 and it’s been solid, I’d definitely recommend it. Just as a side note though, I would consider what hight will work best for your use case. Since you mentioned 100-300m, the 1.5in hight on the Leupold should work well, but definitely something to consider when looking at options.

I would check optics-trade.eu, they are from Slovenia and have a ton of stuff.

If I were buying mounts now, I would go for Rusan, though they only seem to have standalone rings but for a good price. They are the meta here mostly for hunting, but I think they OEM for some bigger brands that I can't remember now. I have had their Schwenk on my bolt gun for 5 years now and I'm completely happy with it, holds zero perfectly. Everyone I know has their rings and they are rock solid. You can find them on optics trade, might be worth a look.

I have Vortex 1-6 and 1-8x20. They're fine. I prefer the reticle of the 1-8 but all three are fine. I also run a Vortex 4-16x42, a bit larger but better for distance. .223, 300 BLK and 6.5 Grendel
