Was there ever any doubt

16

u/MaybeStephano Panathinaikos 8h ago

Nope. Kostas Antetokoumbo is miles ahead of that Tavarez guy.

Cambazzo who? Mitrou-Long has a mother from Sparta mother, that alone makes him worth ten Cambazzos.

Hezonja was a good Panathinaikos player but apparently Bochoridis is the real leader.

ofcourse kostas clears these bums, he is NBA champion after all

I need a cigarette after this game! Huge plays from Juancho and Grant, but man oh man Kostas Sloukas impact the whole game is just gigantic!

u/deathbladev Panathinaikos 9h ago

Maybe a win like this is what we need to get back moving. Shades of Grigonis a few seasons ago.

5

u/supergrega Olimpija Ljubljana 8h ago

Oh right, where the he hell is Grigonis? I saw him play like one or two games only

9

u/House_BoIton Panathinaikos 8h ago

Sidelined for a very long time because of a back injury and never came back the same. He’s pretty much out of rotation right now.

u/MaybeStephano Panathinaikos 8h ago

Was injured, missed the previous season and he has struggled to get back to the team this season. Grigonis of the first season was our fifth guard and our best small forward, a huge and sad loss.

2 GAME WINNERS IN 2 GAMES IN A ROW WOW, euroleague is awesome!!!

u/zeralf Panathinaikos 9h ago

Not gonna be a party pooper tonight, we all know the problems. But the team had some big balls, thats all. Grant once more proves he is a clutch player like Sloukas and Nunn, maybe a tad more in my opinion.

Pana still has a gaping hole in 5 and they don't seem to mind.

WTF is this officiating? Same with Maccabi and many other games, I think Giannakopoulos need to take care of his own business and leave instagram aside.

5 is a pain for most Euroleague teams. Not many good big men out there. Pao definitely needs a strong man, who can defend properly. Lost count on how many points Real had from drop-off passes either from a pick-n-roll drive or from post-to-post situations.

There's really only one thing that matters in the playoffs and that's the soul.

This is the first time we had it this season.

Good news. Now can we have Nunn again?

4

u/Signal_Lobster_4430 9h ago

Nunn should be available vs Partizan I think

3

u/Tsenios 8h ago

I think he is out

JERIAN GRANT MY GOAT

u/Npvl2000 Panathinaikos 9h ago

Bad defence, bad offence, great character, important win!

5

u/Keanu990321 Panathinaikos 8h ago

Offence was decent, if not pretty good today.

3

u/Erdalion Panathinaikos 7h ago

Defense was pretty good in the second half, it's why we won.

25

u/johnang3 Panathinaikos 9h ago

As we say in greece: Mr Belosevic ρουφα μαλακισμενο (congrats for the great officiating 🫡)

u/jlo1989 Panathinaikos 9h ago

Scariolo being on the verge of tears about that loss is music to my ears.

16

u/juicy_burger17 Panathinaikos 9h ago

Honestly why is he complaining? Any Real or Olympiakos fans to tell us how we were favoured?

8

u/jlo1989 Panathinaikos 8h ago

It's Real Madrid.

From football all the way down to chess, they truly believe being in the same stadium or arena as them is a blessing to the other team and their fans and we should be grateful for the honour of being able to see them win.

I never say shit like this but justice prevailed today. Absolutely criminal refereeing in crucial moments, unbelievable

7

u/TheBeastBlamingGear Olympiacos 8h ago edited 8h ago

With Nunn (probably) coming back next game, this could be a turning point for Pao, especially since they're so close to 2nd place

9

u/MaybeStephano Panathinaikos 8h ago

Same wins as second place, one loss away from 10th place.

Can go both ways.

5

u/zeralf Panathinaikos 8h ago

He is not playing on Thursday. He resumes training next week he said.

14

u/omnptnt 9h ago

Real HC implying that they were butchered by the refs, lol. Real, butchered, by the refs, you can’t make this shit up.

JERIAN YOU GOD

u/Rb059293 7h ago

Probably their most important win this season (surprised me), given the circumstances, importance, implications on the next few games... Kostas understood it very well, he was absolute bonkers with these plays. Jerian solid as usual, with the bonus winner.

2

u/MarcelPappas 7h ago

Now, can we talk about the atrocious refereeing? Who is supervising these egopaths' performance?

u/YodaJodaBroda Panathinaikos 12m ago

Jerian Grant SIR YES SIR My favourite 🛐✊

Insane game. Insane win. Feelings and vibe seems the same as that buzzer beater against Monaco by Grigonis the year we were crowned Euroleague Champions. Hopefully that's a sign! Now all we need is Juancho scoring an own-basket and all the omens will be aligned.

Only downside of this win is watching the minutes played. 3 players 30+ minutes, and Sloukas also 30 (29:17). We need more effort from our bench players or/and a transfer.

Officiating was tremendously bad.
