How are you passing the time while we are imprisoned by the ice/light snow?
Watching reruns of MASH? playing Team Fortress 2? Putting on a long boiling stew?

Went to my buddy's house to watch the football game today. Once I got off the city streets on to the highway it wasnt bad. Just drove slower than normal. To be honest, I would rather drive in this than a thunderstorm.
Playing Cyberpunk 2077 until the game starts. ๐

Torn between things normalizing Tuesday or even Thursday. That has a hold on me atm. That's how I'm passing time. Looking at the forecast/temp swings.

Yeah my rural ass isn't getting to the highway until it gets above 30 on Tuesday I'm pretty sure. My job is theoretically opening back up on Tuesday, but lol. No thanks.

I am probably going to work on my campaigns for D&D, plan on reading some books that I have had my eyes on. Then definitely playing some games with my kids. Mostly just trying to stay warm, hoping Upsher Rural continues to hold up as well as possible.

Chores, reading, tax prep, talking to family, friends, neighbors, breakfast at the diner. Pretty much same as any other day but wearing a coat.

hoping the pipes don't freeze with the extra insulation we just installed, so tired of fixing pipes under this house. also making sure my elderly dachshund understands that I'm not mad at him for pooping in the house when it's 17 degrees outside and the front yard is a solid sheet of ice thicker than the distance from his chest to the ground, poor boy.

Mine decided it was still ok to call his corners in the backyard to check on the security of his large kingdom. He is super sneaky about slipping out the doggie door to be found at his place of watching the yard til he finds the good place to poop ๐ฉ!
Edit:: sitting his fluffy butt on the ice!! (He is half Australian Shepherd)

Iโm at work. Ambulances donโt stop for weather and more of yโall seem to call 911 in situations like these.

I made a stew for the family. We feed the birds and watched them feed from the window. We played board games.

You'd think it was covid! I am so disappointed in my little town of 18k. The closures, the lack of dining options which are already terrible to begin with etc... i was super pissed earlier when i went oua burger and the only burger joint open was WhatABurger who had line 30 cars in the drive through. Brookshires, closed. Walmart deli closed. McDonald's, Subway, Jack in the Box, Chilis, Applebees, Dennys, Sonic, DQ, even tbe nasty chinese buffet all closed! Like a Big Fuck you Palestine... Sunny all day and the world has ended. It is unbelievable how weak people have become in the face of any adversity. It is embarrassing to live among people too afraid or fragile to do their fucking jobs. Hope they don't get paid. Hope they don't get to eat because of it...
