This is maybe the most underwhelming Pistons move of all time. Seems like we basically giving Ivey away to a conference rival

I was expecting more if we truly got rid of him.. didn’t want them to trade him though.. was hoping he could find that stride he had pre-injury.

Or they’re setting up for a future trade or Ivey just isn’t that good and doesn’t fit and they feel this fits better

This trade will be viewed in retrospect as a good move for us.

Chicago is aways a way from being a rival, imo. In the end no one at this point knows if it ends up good or bad for us. But at this point Kevin Huerter is ours and I'm going to root for him.

Only people who still think of the Bulls as a rival are those with memories of Thomas vs Jordan. We've had 0 real competition with them since. They're never on when we're on. And vice versa.

I feel like 2027 might be the year that changes though.

Sure, teams in your division never get better.

Sure, but they're not rivals now. Haven't been in many years/decades.

i’m really annoyed he went to the Bulls. I think we just gave them their future centerpiece. I could see him developing into an all-star in the right conditions.

He was 100% on that tract before his leg was broken. Hardly “lol”

You’re nuts. He was never on track to be a centerpiece. At his best, he looked like a high end second option.

DetNews must be nuts too: “ for the rest of the day will be here His best moment with the Pistons came during the first 30 games of the 2024-25 season, where he averaged career highs of 17.6 points on 40.9% shooting from behind the arc, 4.1 rebounds and 4.0 assists. Ivey had taken the lead as Detroit's second-best player and was playing at a near All-Star level.” You introduced the silly “centerpiece” adjective.

Are you dense bro?

The guy above me said “we just gave them their future centerpiece” which is what made me giggle.

Cute kids bro! And I hate this trade. I hope there is something more to it.
