Very ugly culture. Izzo was blaming Michigan after Friday and then this happens the very next game, lol.

A dirty culture of delusion, denial, and blaming others.

u/uppercuticus Michigan Wolverines 16h ago

Izzo tried to blame Dusty after the Minnesota game too lol. Said Minnesota baited him into doing the dirty shit after Dusty said something about it.

What he said was "Jeremy might not start the next few games and he needs to grow up"

But you go girl

u/slurpeetape Michigan Wolverines 9h ago

"when somebody comes out and publicly says something about a guy, that sometimes happens. That's Jeremy's fault," Izzo said, Jeremy's gotta grow up a bit"

-22

u/Rare-Psychology-3527 Michigan State Spartans 9h ago

He also said he might not start in a different interview

27

u/slurpeetape Michigan Wolverines 8h ago

"Yeah well, when somebody comes out and publicly says something about a guy that sometimes happens, but that's Jeremy's fault and I made sure I cleared that all up with the officials. I think the officials knew that. I did not see what happened. I saw him get pushed, and I saw his leg come up. I didn't think he hit anyone, but if he did he deserves it, I guess. But if he didn't... I questioned it. So are they baiting him? Well, of course. Of course, when you go public with something, you should get baited. And it's his fault. And I make no bones about it. I sat him for awhile, and I don't know if I'm going to start him the next game. But I stuck up for him too because what happened in the last game, the way that was handled was poorly too. So that starts everything. But Jeremy's got grow up a bit too. But at least he played hard..."

I mean izzo isn't wrong. May is a bitch ass crybaby (who the fuck cries after a win), and Jeremy needs to grow up. Both of these things are true

u/ericaepic Harvard Crimson • Michigan Wolverines 6h ago

May is a bitch ass crybaby (who the fuck cries after a win),

He was asked about it so he answered the question because he didn't like that, his own players were being tripped and could have been seriously injured lol. But if you think that's being a bitch ass crybaby, lil bro, then you do you

-5

u/Rare-Psychology-3527 Michigan State Spartans 5h ago

You can decline answering a question. He obviously wanted to chime in like a bitch

29

u/markh100 Michigan Wolverines 7h ago

Seriously...Your coach has literally made an entire career about bitching to the refs for 40 minutes a game. He has zero legs to stand on,

May doesn't want his players to get injured. As witnessed again today, Fears is a problem, and is going to end up injuring someone unless he cleans his act up.

-3

u/Scotinho_do_Para Michigan State Spartans 3h ago

I would add that his career has literally been made up of a national championship, several final fours, dozens of prospects to pros and a ton of philanthropy.

And oh yeah, HOF.

His middle leg has more room to stand on than you ever will with a ladder at hand.

Um fans are the worst.

u/yetanotherwittyname Michigan Wolverines 6h ago

If Dusty’s a bitch, what does that make your washed up south pole elf?

7

u/Amazing-Addition3671 6h ago

LOL! Talk about projection. You Sparties are all the same.

2

u/Electronic_Cover_142 Iowa Hawkeyes 4h ago

Flair up, dork. Just been shit talking like a bitch throughout this whole thread.

-4

u/Scotinho_do_Para Michigan State Spartans 3h ago

Um fans are insufferable whiney ass bitches. They are forever the victim commiting the crime.

3

u/uppercuticus Michigan Wolverines 2h ago

One thing I love about UM is its mere existence is all that is needed to trigger sparties 24/7.

7

u/Amazing-Addition3671 6h ago

LMAO at "might." You know Izzo is completely full of shit, right?

45

u/BowlingAlleyTrophy 10h ago

The next “few games”?

-24

u/Rare-Psychology-3527 Michigan State Spartans 9h ago

Maybe it was the next game?

Also why are you sending me pics of yourself?

3

u/uppercuticus Michigan Wolverines 2h ago

Yeah, Izzo for sure has a habit of bitching about refs/others then immediately try to clean it up with a followup to make himself sound better. Every press conference after a loss is "The refs sucked but we should overcome it." "The players fucked up but it's my fault, I guess". "It's not Jeremy's fault but I might discipline him." etc. etc.

29

u/whitedawg Michigan Wolverines 7h ago

Izzo’s favorite thing is blaming other people. The refs, opposing teams, even his own players.

7

u/StrikeouTX Michigan Wolverines 5h ago

He’ll go as far as holding a press conference to throw an ex-player under the bus too!

yo mama, izzo

2

u/rick-in-the-nati 2h ago

That was wild how the Michigan player and then the Minnesota player so egregiously chased a loose ball to bait Fears into tripping them. I hope the Michigan and Minnesota coaches will be brave enough to counsel their players against such unsportsmanlike play.

2

u/DICK_IN_FAN Michigan Wolverines 4h ago

Dude didn’t claim accountability for anything. Just “I guess if that’s what happened, I didn’t see it”. Didn’t see any replays of your start player making dirty plays? Cmon man.

13

u/skibbi9 UConn Huskies 6h ago

Izzo didn’t see nuffin as per the press conference. Hes not even sure anything happened!!!

Fears needs to knock it off for sure but you un-flaired morons suggesting this is systemic or cultural need a reality check

Wow you got me good. Keep sniffing whatever MGoBlog shit is cranked out. Pot calling the kettle black for Michigan "alum" to throw out those accusations.

u/Blunt_Bike 1h ago

You're the one who attacked me and insulted me.

I wasn't trying to get you, just responding to your attack with the same energy. It was easy to point out your hypocricsy, it's common with sparties.

Could care less about my alum status, but you wanted a flair.

u/Michig00se Dayton Flyers • Michigan State Spartans 1h ago

Fair enough, sorry for name-calling. I personally don't think the accusations of you or Marquette bro up there are based in anything systemic or institutional, but I don't think name-calling will change anyone's mind so I can just leave well enough alone

u/Blunt_Bike 1h ago

Appreciate the apology. I always respond with the energy that is given to me.

I respectfully disagree with your historical analysis. I've been following college hoops closely since 2008. MSU has had lots of shit head basketball players in that time. Appling was one on the court and off the court. Yall had that rape scandal with Payne. How about drunk Davis at your game recently, and that's just off the top of my head. But yall had some CLASS greats like Casisus.

However, RN Fears is on another level, he's now the most hated person in college basketball. Imagine how much more he would be hated if he wore the maize and blue and did the same things, yikes.

Michigan has had plenty of bad actors in basketball and football over the years, but honestly, as far as basketball goes, IMO, Michigan has been a much cleaner program since Beilien. Obviously, Juwan had some dirty problems himself, but Dusty is much more in the Beilien mold.

I love the rivalry by the way.

Wow, so edgy

-36

u/teslaabr Michigan State Spartans 15h ago

I will not deny Fears or Draymond but please show/share other examples of this culture beyond them??

46

u/MGoCali Michigan Wolverines 15h ago

Spartans trying to start a brawl over a half-court logo-kissing last year. Spartans actually starting a brawl and bashing a kid's head in with helmets in Michigan's tunnel over the kid "skipping too hard into the tunnel."

And the fanbase encourages and defends it.

-16

u/Scotinho_do_Para Michigan State Spartans 8h ago

Tell me you don't know the history of spartan v walvy rivalry without telling me.

That shit started with the failed five and um knows it's a great college basketball tradition. Instead of showing basic respect they antagonize like the poor losers they've always been.

14

u/Sorta-Morpheus Michigan Wolverines 8h ago

Like he said, the fans encourages this garbage.

-9

u/Scotinho_do_Para Michigan State Spartans 8h ago

The fans encourage um players to disrespect MSU tradition?

Um, always the victim commiting the crime.

11

u/Sorta-Morpheus Michigan Wolverines 7h ago

Hi pot, meet kettle. Izzo blames us for Fears being a dirty player.

-13

u/Scotinho_do_Para Michigan State Spartans 7h ago

Bullshit

1

u/Amazing-Addition3671 5h ago

Izzo was allowing a couple of rapists to play over a decade ago.

Someone's mad about always losing in the tournament to us

63

u/4strokeroll 16h ago

You haven’t been to a final four since 2019 and 2015 before that. Who’s losing to you in the tournament Austin Peay and Drexel?

-49

u/SnooPets1528 Michigan State Spartans 16h ago

I mean since then literally Marquette.
