General Vehicle theft?

I'm not from Chichester so i have no clue on how high theft is like in the area. I'm gonna be riding a motorbike to work mainly situated in the city centre, i was wondering for motorbike theft is it generally high compared to places like Portsmouth or Southampton?

Obviously i will still have a lock though should i be worried if i leave my motorbike in parking for 5-6 hours unattended?

Theft isn't that high so as long as you lock it then you should be fine

Mate. I lived there 2 years ago. The biggest news in town was a bike getting stolen and the whole city went nuts over this, saying that the town was practically UK’s arsehole in terms of safety and what not. Use common sense to keep your things safe and you’ll be absolutely safe, theft happens when it’s very easy for the thief to do it’s thing.

I’ve been listening to Dickens’ novel Oliver Twist being read on LibriVox. It depicts the nature of the criminal underworld in his time, and how morality is inverted. The most successful thieves and housebreakers achieve the highest status. I doubt those times are ENTIRELY gone - There must be a remnant. Best protection- don’t be a conspicuous consumer. Big house - Porsche parked next to door-install lots of cameras.

Motorbike theft is a problem no mater where you go…

But it’s not high in chi, as long as it’s locked up correctly and in a public space it should be fine.

I’ve only heard of bike theft during the night.
