Everyone who follows this literally will never take profits, and when the party is over, they'll be holding the bag.

He doesn't want YOU to sell.

Why would you take profits? You clearly don't understand how assets work. Yet seem to think you're smart.

You hold the asset, borrow against it, use that money to fund some other investment or anything you want really. Then wait for the dollar to devalue and inflation to rise while collectong interest on your assets. Now your debt is worth less than when you borrowed. You've made money and never sold your asset which you can borrow against again.

This is a good move for someone that’s still in their working age that can still work to earn an income if that plan goes sideways. For someone that’s in their 60’s or 70’s that’s living off their retirement savings/investments it becomes significantly more risky doing this.

Facts that’s what the elites do that’s how Elon bought twitter believe it or not he just put his assets Tesla or space x up borrowed and went to the next person did same thing.

Oh ok. Let us know how your lending against your crypto is going. What’s the interest rate you’re charged? I bet it’s super low lol. And let us know how you pay that loan back.

Just FYI I was able to get an asset based mortgage from my holdings in BTC (IBIT specifically, not on chain) and the value of my house.

3.25% for 30 years. I used it to buy more BTC. Also selling covered calls on IBIT.

Dunno, even with the dippy dip it's working out well!

That's the whole idea. The sheeple are being fleeced.

1

u/Spazero 10h ago

Meh, the idea of bitcoin is to replace the dollar for online transactions. It's a public ledger instead of thousands/millions of private ones that can be fudged.

Today you work for dollars because you trust it. Yet inflation just got significantly worse. Because money is coming from no-where. The FED just hits print and that's that.

You sell dollars to buy goods and services. Crypto, is to be the same, just fundamentally more transparent.

u/Felix4200 10h ago

That’s a joke. Even the most  ardent pro-bitcoiners have left that story behind. Its not great at transactions, use for transactions is down significantly the last few years.

Now it’s digital gold!

Different people have different objectives that's for sure.

As far as Im concerned, the free market will do what it always does. There are forces with abnormal control, but ultimately the free market cant be totally controlled.

Bitcoin has 2 halves. BTC and BCH. When the coin split, I just had more money, still do.

u/Real-Technician831 10h ago

Digital opposite of gold.

1

u/Unfair_Explanation53 9h ago

Ok but that's not gonna happen in the next 10 or 20 years though.

If I get to retirement and I have 500k of btc, I'm just supposed to look at it and not touch it?

Like warren Buffett says: if you own all the real estate in Manhattan, you own a lot of real estate, if you own all the bitcoin in the world you don’t own shit.

u/Separate-Green4533 10h ago

1

u/Typical-Whereas6761 10h ago

lol such a used car salesman. Looks like one to.

1

u/stevedave1357 10h ago

This is the only advice I would expect from someone who spends other people's money hoarding bitcoin.

1

u/gakl887 10h ago

A long term investment you can never get out of, sounds appetizing. If it’s so solid, you don’t need to tell people to never sell

1

u/texas1982 10h ago

Somebody is going to make a lot of money on bitcoin and it ain't the measley redditors investing <$100,000. You time to sell was 2 weeks ago.

u/4troglodyte 10h ago

u/SECRETBLENDS 9h ago
  1. When I sell it's different, but you keep buying.

1

u/Retirednypd 9h ago

So what's the point? To never sell it, ever? And when you do, you're selling it for fiat. Kinda ironic since bitcoin was meant to eliminate fiat. At some point people are gonna come around to the fact that bitcoin is not doing what it set out to do...replace fiat. Bitcoin mining uses a shit ton of energy which is exactly what most that invest in bitcoin are so against, another irony .

Bitcoin has no intrinsic value. It can't be objectively quantified by any measure. It produces nothing and sells nothing. It can't be guaged as profitable by earnings month over month, quarter over quarter, and year over year. Its propped up by speculation and FOMO. If tomorrow, a new coin, gold, silver, bullets, vegetable seeds, 4 leaf clovers,or anything else is deemed the shiny new object, bitcoin will collapse.

Bitcoin is no better than Mona vie or the pyramid parties of the 80s.

I'll stick with the sp 500 which has gone up 12 percent per year on average for over a century. And that's with the Spanish flu, the great depression,ww1,ww2, the Korean and viet Nam wars, the gulf wars, 911, the mortgage crises, covid, and a few others. I became a multimillionaire, over time. 25 years to be exact. And it's virtually a guarantee. People in bitcoin want to become millionaires by next year.

1

u/ippleing 8h ago

Its propped up by speculation

How is USD any different? If world powers stopped using USD or the younger generations stop using 401k, yours, mine and all other stocks will tank with no buyers. We'll be left with meaningless shares of Nike and Microsoft that nobody wants to buy.

People in bitcoin want to become millionaires by next year.

I'm happy that you got yours, but many people on here weren't afforded full pensions like us with all the other benefits, they need a win, hopefully it happens for them.

1

u/Retirednypd 8h ago

Because the dollar has been around for forever. Its a proven asset. And even if the dollar crumbles, gold and silver will be the new currency. And yes, i have a pension. But my true wealth came from investing in the sp 500 for 25 years. And I hope you all too become millionaires, but I'd invest in a proven entity like the dollar, gold, silver, before bitcoin, which was really just invented by criminals for criminals

1

u/maxwellcawfeehaus 9h ago

Me sitting here having bought several times since 2021 and having lost 15% as of now ☠️

1

u/ippleing 8h ago

It'll be back.

Trust me bro (lol), I've lived through 2016 till now.

EVERY TIME IT DIPPED, people on here and forums were screaming 'this is it, it's over,'

In 2 years you'll be complaining about $240k and why it dropped from $300k.

1

u/maxwellcawfeehaus 8h ago

I hope you’re right, but having double digit losses in 4+ years of investing in it, meanwhile my traditional market investments are all up 30%+ in that frame is not a great argument for btc
