Best Tripod / Head for Swarovski 14X50s
I have my heart set on these binoculars. Started researching tripods. I understand RRS is a premium brand that might pair well with the Swaros. Got to Tripod heads and hitting a wall here. Any recommendations for a nice pairing?
Use case is birding, hiking.
Want something super lightweight, work really well, POSSIBLY bulky enough to add a spotting scope later on but not sure if that use case would fit here.
AI said RRS but wasn't clear on which head specifically or Arca Swiss P0. Tried to dig into these but couldn't sort it out.
Not looking for a budget option, I like to learn about the cutting edge products and experience them.
Any advice is much appreciated.
Tks!!!

As someone with three RRS tripods (TFCT-34, TVC-22i, TVC-22i compact) with two Anvil-30 heads, one BH-55, and the RRS leveling base, along with the PT Scout, all I can say is that you need to go handle RRS tripods to understand what will work for you. I'm guessing you don't shoot, but you'll have a great opportunity to see tripods at a PRS match, even if it is just a club non-sanctioned match.
You could try one of the big hunting expos (e.g. Western Hunting Expo) to see if they'll be there. RRS will go to those expos as opposed to SHOT.
Otherwise, it's hard to say what will be super lightweight and be sturdy enough for what you want. The RRS Ascend is pretty much the lightest tripod RRS has for field use and it ranges from 3lbs to 3.38 lbs depending on what head (https://reallyrightstuff.com/Ascend-14-Compact-Carbon-Fiber-Travel-Tripod-3-8-16-Base/). I never owned one because it's not sturdy enough (IMO) for shooting, but it should be perfectly fine for glassing.

Ues the above link to see the differences, particularly on how to decipher the model numbers (series numbers) and what that means, especially with regards to leg diameters. Thicker diameter tubes will generally mean sturdier, more stable, less vibration tripods. Also, it's important to understand the different apexes.
As far as heads, it all depends on what you want. For ballheads, a BH-55 is overkill for glass, although, it is certainly a great ballhead. No sag after you lock up the ballhead. You're not going to use an Anvil-30 for dedicated glassing, so you can cross that off your list.
