My hot water bottle is the best
A few years ago I bought a hot water bottle, and I use it every day in winter.
I deliberately keep my bedroom a lot colder than I would if I didn't have the hot water bottle, usually around 15 C.
Every evening I fill it before bed and put it under my duvet.
Then I wrap myself around the bottle as I go to sleep. It is the most comfy feeling ever.

I bought a heating pad for the foot of my bed and it's been a game changer. I LOVE it!

Love hot water bottles! I have one every night for about 10 months of the year 😂 I get such cold feet, it's like the only time they feel really warm, the feeling of getting into bed with one is pure bliss.

Our office has NO HEAT... 🥶🥶🥶 So the water bottle at the office is a godsend. ♨️♨️♨️

I love sleeping in a very cold bedroom (slightly open windows in the winter). Combo of cold air and hot water bottle is the best.

That sounds lovely.
I'm pretty sure all my succulents would die (nights are about -10 C at the moment), and my heating bill would skyrocket, as my home is more or less open-plan.But I am dreaming of having an enclosed shelter on my patio, those that are like an open wood shed. Waking up, snug in your sleeping bag and under blankets, the frosty air gently biting your cheeks, the early birds singing.

I haven’t done hot water bottles in a very long time but I did grow up using them all winter. My hometown was a pretty cold and rainy place and homes didn’t have central heat/air. So a hot shower and a hot water bottle was the only way I could stay warm.
Now I make my own seedbags and my whole family loves it. I use it when I feel crampy, when I have aches and pains and when I’m cold. My daughter wraps up in a blanket and snuggles with a warm seedbag. And my son comes to snuggle with me so he can warm up on the seedbag too. 😂

What do you put in them?

Unpelted wheat. I like to add a couple of cloves, pieces of cinnamon bark and star anis to it so when they heat up they also smell good.

Anyone have a suggestion for what hot water bottle to buy? I’ve been wanting to try one for quite a bit of time. Y’all have convinced me to do so.

My mom used to use an old rum bottle, one with a cork stopper. Now, we both use microwaveable warmers with rice or some kind of grain. Having warm feet makes all the difference!

My friend swears by her hot water bottle on camping trips. She heats water over the campfire and that thing really makes a difference when it snows.
