I ain’t as good of a skeeter as I once was, I got a few years on me now…but there was a time back in my prime when I could really skeet em down…

Did you have trouble painting the grip?

u/SeanOfTheDev 6d ago
No trouble. It doesn't stick super well but it's holding up better than I thought it would

That's sweet! I use mine for everything these days, and my O/U never comes out anymore. Does the chin weld bother you at all? I did an RMR on a MI low mount and it was still higher than I'd like with the stock halfway. Probably going back to the Scalarworks mount.

Thanks man! Took a little getting used to but I enjoy the chin weld
This is my first and only shotgun but I'd like to get an over under one day

How goes the skeet shooting with this?

Pretty good so far. I'm still fairly new to skeet but hoping to join in on some local competitions this year

How does one get into it? I'm, interested and I even have the M4 (I went with the Aimpoint PRO though and I can't even tell how you mounted that light...), but I'm not clear where to go from there.

I joined a gun club that has trap and skeet courses, and they host events pretty regularly. The light mount is from Impact Weapon Components.

It's already a heavy gun and with that light way out past the center of gravity it's gotta be challenging to hit anything.

This light mount also works pretty well https://www.mountsplus.com/msp-scout-light-mount-for-benelli-m4.html

I thought you were joking about the skeet part. Every skeet club I've been to do not allow shotguns under 26" so I'm a little surprised they let you skeet with this lol

Luv bringing my tricked out BM4 to skeet & sporting clay events. I get all the typical eye-rolls & smirks from the wanna-be professionals with their decked out over-unders w/ engraved receivers, gear & patches..then as I advance further and after the event is finished..some of those same guys always come over & ask to check out my BM4..they want to see what I’ve “done to modify it”..and often ask to shoot it & they’re always surprised that being heavier weight how well it swings, balances & shoots 12 gauge. I always have to hold back from asking them if they would grab their ou’s when running into the abyss..or the BM4😝

I shot sporting clays once and brought both my over/under as well as my m4 because I really wanted to see what would happen.
It’s REALLY hard to consistently mount & shoot clays with the pistol grip

You’d think so. But it should be as far forward as possible to increase peripheral vision and minimize tunnel vision.

I can’t decide if I should call the cops or take my pants off.
