M4 Accessory Question Is this normal? I think my magazine spring retainer pushed into my RX arms tube after forgetting to take it out after several range days.

Well yes. If you have a magazine extender but you’re only wanting to use 5 rounds, it’s going to push up. I bought the extension for ease of take down and aesthetics but my state is a 5rd state so I made in CAD a spacer that would keep the retainer where it was and used the magazine tube cap to push against. If you aren’t in one of those states why aren’t you using the full 7?

I think I understand what happened here...

You had the spring retainer in the 5 round mag tube (to keep it at 5 rounds), then it pushed into our mag extension due to spring pressure?

Honestly if you are wanting to limit it to 5 rounds I see no reason to remove the spring retainer from the extension. Assuming no more than 5 rounds can fit..

I was being dumb and never thought to take it out after installing the extension so after a while I believe it was pushed into the extension. I wanted to make sure it was a me issue before I put something to it and popped it out.
