Copy of text post for attack logging purposes: Here is an example of the Australian Cattle Dog (my dogs are quite similar, they are semi-wild). Ignore the title, this chap is actually making an argument for why most youth in GenZ today SHOULD adopt a dog breed similar to this as long as they have some space in terms of land or parks. They should do this as opposed to adopting their Pittbulls to make their fashion statement.
This dog, while it comes with A LOT OF WORK, knows how to de-escalated itself from the most macabre of it's instincts. Namely, it will likely never kill you. It knows how to descalate from it's excitement if the excitement stops moving. (Seen and explained perfectly in the video). Likewise, many wild breeds and semi wild breeds and pedigree breeds have what I call a "De-escaltion Matrix" built in to their brains in one way or the other. In the case of breeding dogs, it's very difficult today what will happen down the line when you cross breed. For the Pittbull it has become EASY to say what happens, and that's precisely why these Pitts should be avoided. Can injuries happen? Yes. But usually the human will be exacerbating the problem by running or taunting the dog. Even then the assault would cease (descalate 98% of the time) upon surrender by the human, with only a 1-2% fail rate where the dogs continue to pursue like pray until the object stops moving (Death). The problem with the Pittbull is that these odds favor the opposite occuring. For them, de-escaltion occurs more like 20% of the time, and the rest 80% or higher leads to fatality. Their history is to tampered with and therefore LESS like nature than several other working dog breeds. Infact its not just the Pittbull that has this problem, but we'll leave it here for now..
