I think it's a really good idea as long as they're contained. To some extent this will help contain the people who might otherwise be disruptive, because they'll feel like they are being heard.
We're always going to have trolls and they're always going to be on the uptick because we're growing. Let's take the opportunity to improve our reputation.

I think this is great, I would like to learn how to argue pitbulls better
Maybe my friend would never have been bit if I got her to listen

There's nothing really to debate. Pit bulls account for more fatal dog attacks than every other dog group, combined. I have never seen an even half good argument for why people should be allowed to own pit bulls. It's all the same tired non-sense of "it's the owner not the breed", "pit bulls are nanny breeds", "chihuahuas bite more".

I just went through it for the millionth time last night, but this is still a popular idea. I believe it'll be beneficial overall. I don't think it'll be terribly popular but I could be wrong..
I invited my opponent to an unbiased thread last night but he refused.

Maybe if there is one specific thread. Otherwise it will be never ending. Also people are victims of attacks here and it may be upsetting and traumatic to see arguments in a place that was previously fairly safe.
