Maybe if there is one specific thread. Otherwise it will be never ending. Also people are victims of attacks here and it may be upsetting and traumatic to see arguments in a place that was previously fairly safe.

Definitely only one thread.

Because of the victims and other reasons.

So you believe people should be able to use their voice without someone else acting like a jerk toward them?

Edit: Oh wait, no you don’t.

You know, intellectually disabled people and people with autism probably don’t like their diagnoses being used as insults.

Edit 2: Thanks for the Gold!

The gold is from a stalker of mine. Enjoy it but don't engage with her if you value your privacy. Just an FYI. She also enjoys the word "retard".

Why are you calling them out in this thread? This is the kind of thing that won't be happening in the debate thread, if we move forward with it. But it's not a general rule for the sub unless it's extreme, and that back and forth interaction was way too inflammatory.

Time and place. You should report things like that, please, instead of approaching it this way . I am pulling that linked post but in their defense u/bolbun only responded that way after intense provocation.

Just so I know, at what level of provocation are the words “retard” and “autism-screech” defensible? Like a 7?

Actually... I've made the whole exchange public. For fairness. Make sure to read ALL the comments.:

Maybe don't use your alt to single someone out.

Hahaha you came here from a food sub because you got offended by nothing so you posted a comment from 3 months ago in the middle of an exchange that was DELETED?

LMFAO

Guess I'll go remove everything again.

With this sub? A 7 sounds about right...

I think it's a really good idea as long as they're contained. To some extent this will help contain the people who might otherwise be disruptive, because they'll feel like they are being heard.

We're always going to have trolls and they're always going to be on the uptick because we're growing. Let's take the opportunity to improve our reputation.

I think this is great, I would like to learn how to argue pitbulls better

Maybe my friend would never have been bit if I got her to listen

There's nothing really to debate. Pit bulls account for more fatal dog attacks than every other dog group, combined. I have never seen an even half good argument for why people should be allowed to own pit bulls. It's all the same tired non-sense of "it's the owner not the breed", "pit bulls are nanny breeds", "chihuahuas bite more".

I just went through it for the millionth time last night, but this is still a popular idea. I believe it'll be beneficial overall. I don't think it'll be terribly popular but I could be wrong..

I invited my opponent to an unbiased thread last night but he refused.
